Confused about park admission

I am confused about WDW park admission. My wife and I are going in May of 2022. We are accustomed to arriving in a park sometime in the morning, hanging around until lunch, then back to our room (we stay on-site), then head back into the park in the evening. There was some statement that once you leave the park, you cannot get back in. I am trying to find out if that is true. Needless to say, if it is true, it will have a dramatic impact on our plans.

The information you heard was not correct.

To enter a park you require a park reservation. Once you have secured a park reservation you will be allowed to come and go from that park as many times that day as you wish.

To clarify, 'park admission' is only granted to guests who have a 'park reservation' that day for that park.

Thanks everyone. I knew that I needed ticket/admission and reservation - that I have already taken care of. I was concerned about single entry for the day. We're 75 and don't go as long as we used to and need that afternoon break.

We take 1 or 2 breaks, depending on how late the parks are open, dinner res, mood and how the wind blows (can you tell we're the flexible, laid back types? :P . You can get back into your park without issues as the above posters have mentioned. If you have park hoppers, you can go to another park after 2 instead (very rare occasions excepting). Enjoy those breaks!

It sounds like you might not be using park hoppers, but if you do: if you enter the park you have a park reservation for in the morning, you then can enter and re-enter any of the 4 parks the rest of the day, starting at 2PM every day.
