Confused about MYW Dining

Booked my first MYW package (w/dining) and am a little confused. Usually I have an AP, so I book things in pieces, so with the package I think things are a little different.

I am splitting my 10-day stay between 2 Disney resorts. Will be at 2 nights at Port Orleans French Quarter and 7 nights at the Wilderness Lodge. How many meals do I actually get? My understanding is that it would be 10 TS, CS & Snacks, as I will be staying at a Disney resort for 10 days. Is this accurate? How does this work on check-out/check-in day? Do they split the meal plan between the resorts or is it just bunched together?

Also, regarding the non-alcoholic drink. Is this just soda or lemonade or does a milk shake count?

Tricky to answer...

In booking the split stay, did you book two separate packages or one resort as room only & the other as a package. It makes a difference.

The DP can only be purchased with a package. So if you booked two separate packages, you will have 10 credits per person, but I assume you would have 2/person during your "first" stay & then 8/person during your "second."

If you booked one stay (PO) as room only, then you would only have 8 credits/person.

Hope that made sense.

As far as check in/out, your credits are available immediately & you have until midnight on check out to use them.

I have a quick question too, and you seemed to know your stuff... :earsboy: We have booked our package checking in on June 18th and checking out on June 23rd. Do we have 5 days of meals or 6 which is the length of our ticket? I have been wondering about that too.

I booked the entire stay as one MYW package (including park hopper passes & dining). It's just that wanted to stay at POFQ for the first couple of days, then the WL for the rest. There is just one reservation for the entire package.

The dining plan credits = the number of nights you are booked. For example...there are five of us going for 10 days/9 nights...we will have 45 CS credits, 45 snack credits, and 45 TS credits total (5 x 9 = 45).

Hope that helps.

Now I am stumped because, from what I have read, you can't do that. Hmmmm...

Usually, for split stays, people report booking two separate packages, meaning you have to buy at least 1 park ticket per person for each "stay." (In your case, PO & WL.) Either way, if neither is a room-only, then you will have 10 credits. I am just not sure if the credits are broken into 2 accounts, 1 for PO, the other for your stay at WL.

pepperw23-your meal credits match the number of nights you are booked, so you would have 5/person.
