Confused About Moderate Hotel & FD

I've read through as many posts as I can regarding FD. We just lucked into it last year during our stay at POP without really knowing much about how the promotion worked. This year, we are staying at POFQ.

I've read conflicting things about FD at values vs moderates/deluxes. In one post, I read FD at values & moderates is the QS plan (2 QS/1 snack) ... in another post, I read FD at values ONLY is QS and at moderates & deluxes is the regular dining plan (1 TS/1QS/1 snack).

Can someone please give me a definitive answer so I can quit driving myself crazy over whether I need to start deciding what TS restaurants to make ADRs for? LOL

You're confused because you are reading about different types of offers.

There is a free dining PIN code this year for bookings in March -June, and there was a similar one last year, that offered free quick service at moderates and deluxes.

The offer for residents of the UK has ALWAYS been free quick service at moderates and no free dining at values at all.

The general public US offers (those open to anyone, not just to recipients of PIN codes) for the past two years have been free regular dining at deluxes and moderates and quick service only at values. Before that, they were free regular dining at every resort category, including values. (Last year, the August/September offer also required the purchase of a $99 Photopass book, which had never before been a component of free dining offers.)

You can't get a definitive answer, because Disney hasn't released a US general public offer during 2012. All you can do is speculate that because the previous general public offers in the US have all been free regular dining for moderates, that any offer released this year will also be free regular dining for moderates. But it's not for certain, because Disney can decide to change the offer at any time. In fact, two years ago they switched the value resorts from free regular dining to free quick service dining for the US offers.

You're probably OK anticipating a general public offer in the US for at least late August and September. You're probably also OK anticipating that this offer will include free regular dining for moderates. But until the offer comes out, you can't be definite about it.
