Confused about magic bands....

When do you get them? do they come in the mail before your trip? How do your fp go on them? Just confused about it all.

It looks as if you are staying at ASSp.

Have you set up a My Disney Experience account? If so, you can link your resort reservation to your account. Once you have done that, you can customize (pick colors) your magic bands for everyone on the reservation.

Then they will mail you the bands (if you are in the US) a couple weeks before your trip.

If for some reason you don't customize them far enough ahead of time, they will be waiting for you at the resort.

Now if you're not too overwhelmed, take a look at Mesaboy's amazing FP+ info thread here: FAST PASS INFO. You can start making FP+ reservations 60 days before your trip, as long as you have tickets purchased and linked to your account, so depending when in June you are going, that could be coming up soon.

Hi there!

So your MagicBands are mailed out about a month or so before your trip. You'll get an email with the tracking info. If it's a busier time of year, they seem to arrive closer to your date (at least I noticed that my spring break trip MagicBands came a little closer than my September trip).
Since you get them mailed to you, make sure you pack them in your carry-on bag when you fly.

All of the fastpass reservations are done online. Since you'll be staying on-site, you'll be able to make reservations 60 days before check-in for your whole trip (if you have theme park tickets already linked to your account). Disney send a little reminder email about making fastpass+ reservations.

The first thing to know is that your Magic Bands are a form of media that link to your My Disney Experience account. Your Fast Passes do not "go on" the Magic Bands, but rather they go on your MDE account and the band is linked to them. The same is true of your tickets. The Magic Bands do come in the mail, but you do not have to wait for them to make your FP+ selections as they will come much closer to your trip date than 60 days.

Setup a My Disney Experience account and link your reservation to it. You should see what you need to see and the date you can start making Fast Passes. Customize your bands' colors and they will arrive a few weeks before your trip.

I'm going to piggy back here. Do you need to sign for your MBs when they are sent US Parcel Post? I looked on MDE and the tracking says they are at the PO ready for me to pick them up. There was no delivery attempt note on my door or in my mailbox. It just seems weird that I need to go down to the PO and get them. Maybe I'll wait another day and see if they show up today in my mailbox....

I didn't need to sign and have never seen any threads here saying so. Give it a day and see if they're in your mailbox today.

I have never had to sign for the Magic Bands either. I think because they are not physical tickets and are linked to your account they can be deactivated and replaced in the event of loss.
