From the park entrance walking, what is the optimal way to get to Dumbo now? Through the castle, right towards WinnieThePooh or would you veer right of the castle and walk by Comic Rays? TIA

Check out Robo's map on post #11. Dumbo is #13 on th map. I think your second choice is probably faster.

To the Hub, then right past Cosmic Ray's towards Mad Tea Party. Pass that on the right towards Storybook Circus.

No. Old Dumbo has been removed. There are 2 new Dumbos near The Great Goofini and the Fantasyland RR Station (which are accessed from a short walkway near the Mad Tea Party/Tomorrowland Speedway area.) They are very nice, much more detailed than the last one. They also have an indoor queue with a soon to open play area for little kids where you can get a pager to let you know when you should return to the line.

P.S. I did look at Robo's map but sometimes it's hard to judge the best route depending upon where an entrance may be located unless you've seen for yourself.

Speaking of the new Dumbo...did anybody else see this article from Epcyclopedia a couple days ago?

Basically, it says that there is a flaw in the construction of the ride, and the "pit" beneath the Dumbo's is too shallow and causing the vehicles to hit the bottom. As a result, the "fiberglass of the brand new attraction carriages is being scraped away daily and causing the ride system to have stoppages and closures frequently". There's also apparently an issue with the water feature of the ride.

I'm no expert on ride mechanics...but surely they can't just let this go on indefinitely, right? They're going to have to shut it down at some point to make repairs.

They never hit the bottom of the ride, they would hit the side. Its from some of the dumbo's boom arms being longer than others. They are fixing it over time by widening the moat. This problem never caused stoppages or closures.

There was never a problem with the water, the water system for SBC is tied together, Casey Jr (is CJSZ the official abbreviation) and both dumbo's all use the same pump and filtration system. Thats why when there was only 1 dumbo the water would be so filthy and disgusting because they couldn't filter it. Its also why it was down a few days ago while CJSZ was closed during the storm.
