Once again, I turn to the experts

After spending my whole work day on these boards , it would seem that there are a few options that are pretty nice, and a few that may be a complete waste of time.

What are your 'top picks' for a day in Nassau?

Also, I seem to recall reading about a resort next to Atlantis, where you could rent a room & have complete access to all Atlantis' pools. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

thanks!

It's the Comfort Inn Suite from which I learned from these boards.
I'm sure it's much cheaper than rooms at the Atlantis....I know, I booked two rooms during spring break and broke the bank...Would have booked Comfort Inn, but there was nothing available being "peak" season.:wave2:

When we were in Nassau we booked the Atlantis day trip and toured the resort and aquarium. It was very nice and well worth the money. It was aguided tour but you could stay after the tour and visit the casino or get a bite to eat. There were many shuttle boats to get you back to the ship whenever you'd like to leave the resort. With the tour you could not use the pools @ Atlantis. The hotel is a Comfort Inn where you can book a "day Room" and use the pools @ Atlantis.

In the town of Nassau you can hire a horse and buggy with a driver to tour the city. No need to book this ahead of time. There are lots of drivers begging you to take their ride. Some people opt to visit the Straw Market. I HATED this place and will never go back. There are quite a few shops within walking distance to pick up the regular touristy stuff.

On our cruise we have decided to stay on the ship and treat it like a sea day.

Hope this info answers your questions! Have fun!!!

If you are interested in excursions, we had a great time on the Blue Lagoon beach day and the Catamaran sail and snorkel.

If you would like any details, let me know.
