Conflicting ADR/ILL$/LL

Has anyone had luck with either a dining location allowing a late ADR arrival to accommodate a ILL$ or LL or an attraction allowing flexibility to accommodate an ADR? With many lightning Lane attractions being so difficult to acquire, thereby not really having a choice of time, is there any unwritten flexibility (beyond 15 minutes) built into the system? Especially fir the ILL$ that often assign a time different from the one originally chosen.

You can go to Guest Relations or the Guest Experience Team (they're the ones by the blue umbrellas in certain areas of each park) and have them move your ILL to not conflict with your dining reservation. My parents had this same issue when they bought a ILL for Flight of Passage back in March and it was at the same exact time as their Tiffins dinner. The Cast Members under the blue umbrellas were able to move their FOP time to before their dinner.

The Cast Members understand that this is a known issue with ILLs so they will try their best to help you. If they can't help you for some reason I would go to your dining reservation and explain to the Cast Members at the ride your situation. I know with virtual queues if you showed a Cast Member your ADR receipt they would let you in but I'm unsure if they're still doing that.

All good advice here. I would add to make sure that you talk to Guest Relations AND someone at the restaurant (a manager). Don't cause a fuss or anything... I just think it is best to provide feedback to all parties involved as often as possible. That will help get this issue passed up to the decision makers.

Guests are given the choice of missing an ADR and get charged $10 per person, or forgo a ILL that costs $8-15 per person, or it can severely limit how they can us Genie+ at $15 per person.

ADRs are usually booked early and you have no idea when your LL or ILL selection times will be (unlike FastPass+). When choosing LL's you cannot select a return time so you are staring at your phone trying to make a quick decision on a ride time, how long to travel to your ADR and a buffer. ILL's have a bit more flexibility but they still complicate your day since you can't plan in advance.

This is an important issue that can take a nice chuck on money out of your wallet.

We got an ILL for a time that we had an ADR. You can’t really control what times you get, they change! My daughter used the chat function in the app right after it happened (7:00 am) and the CM changed it no problem!

You can just ask at the ride too, I have found they can be very accommodating depending on the situation. They can see you have an LL and when you were supposed to arrive.
