Because their price increases have been relentless, they're posting record profits (not revenues...big difference), and they have not shown a committment to capital investment at the Wdw parks in comparison with either their competitor up the road... Or in the tradition of Disney parks... Or frankly the other disney parks when you measure just how much larger Wdw is and how many people it serves.
Not the disney way...Where there was a committment to innovation, quality, and a faith by management that the committment would be rewarded with money, and usually was.
My Bank has made record Profits in the Billions for the last 7 years, guess what still use them, tellers are down, hours are down, transaction fees up, still use them.
I look at businesses and if I support them, not on what they make and their margins, is what they can do and bring to me. If they bill what the markets can bear, or price themselves out,(like Target in Canada, not even 2years and Billions gone)
Disney brings some qualities to me and my family that cant be measured always in dollars. I compare other parks because I see the difference in what my DDs have and experience. For them to learn about math because they want to see what they can spend on at the parks, or learn about scheduling from booking our PFs and dinners, or conversions of temperatures from F to C, conversions of the doller, I can go on. These are things that other parks and activities cant hold their attention to..
This is on top the real pleasure of seeing the girls reaction to the parades, interactions, fireworks, shows.
I see greater value in these non measurable things, and I think others do to.
Why do people buy a $5 coffee that they can make at home for .50C, that to me is a waste, but millions do everyday.
