I will also say, even though I've come to grips with this , that aren't they not only closing it during hot months, but also during one the most popular months at this point? October is the only month of the year where no free dining is offered. Because people visit in October. Rooms are booked, no need for free dining...although, maybe the off-site contingent isn't as large. Could be.

If you take a look at the graph in the quoted post you will see that this will actually affect the least amount of guests possible.

This is a pretty judgemental post. For my part, I will be in WDW in September for 10 days and in January for 12, so a refurb was going to impact one of those vacations anyway. I am still upset with the timing. Why? Because it will be HOT in September and COLD in January. Guess when I would prefer to ride Splash?

@rteetz, from the Rumors and News board, is reporting confirmed info that Splash Mountain will be closed for refurbishment from August 28th - November 16th.

Any chance that it might open like a week earlier? Does that ever happen with refurbs??? We will be there from 11/4 - 11/12 and this is my FAVORITE ride....can't believe it !!!!!!!

The end dates for the longer refurbs is always subject to change. Could wrap up sooner - or later.

@tjlamphere ~ I agree with Buckeye. I believe BTMRR opened a few days early - very quietly - and then FPs appeared.

Just keep watching TPAS and Rumors/News.

No it won't close earlier than scheduled.

A week might be a stretch. Refurbs have opened a few days early but I don't know if I've ever seen a week. Don't expect it to open earlier though.

"Least amount of guests possible" and "a lot of people" are not mutually exclusive. Both are true in this case, if historical attendance fluctuations month-to-month hold true.

With MK's high daily attendance, any E-ticket closure there affects "a lot of people" by default no matter when it is.
