I had read a few comments about music but I had hope! Sure enough, last night at 10:00, the lights didn't go down and the music didn't start!!! :sad1:

Very disappointing. DH said jokingly, "that's it, I want my money back." Watching Wishes on the beach is one of our favorite things to do at the Fort. I hope it's just a manpower thing that happens occasionally and somebody either forgot or was out sick last night. Don't they have to start it from the rental shack thing? If so, the phone was ringing there around 10:05 and no one answered.

I'm going to call today and ask about it. I'll let you all know what they say.

Well that stinks. How hard is it to turn off a light and flip a switch for the soundtrack?:confused3

We'll live and watch from the park I suppose but I really was looking forward to not having to leave the park at the same time as thousands of other people.

Wishes music on FW beach it hit or miss. I was there for over a week and never heard it once but you can hear the EWP in the 2800 loop

We have NEVER seen the lights go out :confused3 The boats are continually running so that has always been a problem with us wanting to watch the fireworks from the beach, also Discovery Island blocks the lower ones, so we don't usually bother.

I was in the fort the week of July 10 and we did watch Wishes from the beach, lights were out and the music came on. :confused3

While we were there we heard the music one night and none the next three nights.

We were there in May and the lights went dim and the music played. I also hope it's not a trend!

I was there from the 16th- 19th of August and there was no music. It is just not the same watching the fireworks without it.:sad2:

As with most little things like this, write disney! Let them know you appreciate the music on the beach.

We will have one night to do this on our upcoming trip and we have never done it before. I hope all is working on our one shot!

If you happen to have the Wishes soundtrack, just put it on your iPod and play it along with the fireworks if the sound at the beach isn't working! When we stayed at the Poly this summer, we could see the fireworks from our room but were too far away from the beach to hear the sound. So we sat on our patio and played the soundtrack aloud on the iPod...I synced it perfectly, so we had our own private showing of Wishes with fireworks and sound right at our room :). I'll have to remember to take the iPod when we head to the Fort beach to watch Wishes this fall, in case the sound isn't working then.

I was at FW over Labor Day Weekend and on Saturday night of that holiday weekend their was no music for the Wishes Fireworks show. It's just not the same without it and you would have thought on a major holiday weekend like that they would have had them. I had brought my mom to see/hear it for the first time. Very disappointing, but not surprising for Disney...

We are planning on seeing the fireworks during our stay in early Dec. I hope it is worked out by then. Are the other resorts hit and miss too?

I got a call back today from Disney. Had a very nice conversation with a feedback lady (many years at Disney...we talked for a while :thumbsup2 ) and she verified with the fort person that day (saturday) that they were having it that night. She said she would also get in touch with a manager over at the fort and the people who run such things and would email me later this week with their reply in regards to it not being run. She sounded sincerely sorry that someone missed it and knew exactly what I was talking about with the music/fireworks. Hope that helps!

Okay after talkng to the manager over at the fort and the techie people they confirm that they had issues last month with the sound system. They apologized to the lack of the music and stated that the wishes music will be piped in for the forseeable future.

That's great news. We had that planned as an activity for our kids. Are you right on the beach to see them? Is there a place nearby where smaller children can play?
