Confirmed MSEP to stop and move to DL Oct. 9th

I love how they say "plan a trip to see MSEP one last time". Cause you know most people plan Disney trips 6 weeks or less in advance.

I really don't mind that MSEP is going, but it looks to me like we'll have no parade for our trip in October, which is a bit disappointing. However, if it means upgrading the night parade somehow, I'm for it.

This really sucks for WDW.
I accidentally posted a question on TPAS, that I meant to ask here. With the HUB and Disney Parks Blog both saying there are no plans to bring PtN to WDW at this time, does that mean that it's not actually coming? Or, is that just Disney-speak for it's coming at a later date, and we're not going to tell you when that will be yet?

It wouldn't be the first time Disney has said one thing and then done the exact opposite, (SWW for example).

Honestly I have no idea. I had a source saying PTN is coming and would be announced soon but then I told them what the parks blog said and even they don't know anymore.

I'm really glad Paint hte Night will not be going to WDW.
WDW should get their own nighttime parade for their own park and have it be unique to WDW.

The way they are saying there are no plans to move paint the night makes it sound pretty definitive, but I personally wouldn't say that means 100% it won't happen. Hard to believe they'll go very long without one. Used to have 5 parades at wdw, now down to one.

I think WDW will go without a parade at all before it builds a new one. WDW management doesn't want to pay for one I know that for sure.

Isn't that something only one parade left at WDW a resort with four parks... That's just sad.

There's a part of me (mind you, a very small part) that is thinking Disney is trying to move from more traditional nighttime entertainment (Fireworks and parades) to newer, more interactive elements (World of Color, Rivers of Light, the new Star Wars show that incorporates numerous elements).

I'm curious if this may be a part of that, assuming that PTN doesn't move coasts.

Possibly but what kind of interactive thing could replace a parade? Sure you can have a world of color show replace fireworks but a parade?

Perhaps an expansion of Wishes, akin to what the Disneyland Forever fireworks are? Incorporating the Main Street buildings and other locations throughout the park?

Of course, it wouldn't replace what a parade is. But doing so offers something that is similar and new, and would help get crowds to distribute through the park by offering different themes depending on what land you are watching from.

There is also a good chunk of land that is in the Magic Kingdom area (either near BTMR or Space Mountain) that remains available for development, if they wanted to create a new nighttime show.

Possibly but Disneyland encompassed all of that and still had a nighttime parade. This could very well just be WDw management saving money.

Oh, I don't doubt that management wants to save money. I just like to question if that's the only reason.
