Anyone see what time you will be able to prebook your MP? It’s probably going to be crack of dawn as usual. Better than having to book stuff in Japan on their time from the US.

Reports are 7am. As it stands, International guests aren't even able to do the advanced booking. Those in Japan would have to be on US soil.

Why does it matter? The 120 rule is now gone which makes the process a whole lot simplier for everyone. You use one book another it's pretty simple.

This is how I used Genie+ 2 weeks ago. As soon as I tapped in I booked my next ride. I hardly ever had to wait the 2 hours.

Universal does charge a lot to enter and they charge a lot to skip the line

I was referring to local regional theme parks in my post…not universal.

No, you can always hold 3 lightening lanes. As soon as you use 1, you can book another.

I haven't read all 108 pages of this thread so maybe somebody has already answered this question, but why in the world would Disney implement such a impactful change in the middle of the busy summer season? Seems like very bad planning.

Per other posts on this board, it seems this summer is not that busy so that might have something to do with it.

Late July, and especially moving into August will see some of the lowest crowds of the year.

Really. That's never been my experience, and I've never seen that on any crowd calendar. I thought that after Labor Day was the slow down period.

Yes, slightly lower crowds. The truth is, whenever they implemented the changes, it was going to be a pain and impact certain guests. I guess they'll work out the kinks before the busy holiday seasons starting in October.

Agreed. And I think implementing it towards the end of July, will give them a good solid month of crowds becoming lower. The food and wine festival might amp up attendance a bit at the end of August/beginning of September, but it will settle again to relatively low crowds in September.

My guess is they wanted to see how the DAS changes affected lightning lane availability.

Why now?

• Summer has been trending lower in crowds for several years, and this summer seems especially low (see YouTube for video proof).
• They said they wanted to change DAS first (a system that was using a ton of LL capacity)

No more stacking
A bit sad about no more stacking strategy, only because I just learned about it a couple of months ago and never got to try it out.

I’m glad I’ll be able to learn how the new system is working before my December trip.
