Confirmed BW View

I received a confirm yesterday that our 1BR will be a Boardwalk view for our President's week visit. We are waitlisted for BCV, but I'm thinking about keeping the BW view. Ahhh, just think of it, sitting on the balcony sipping a cool (foamy) drink overlooking the action of the Boardwalk.

I'm in a similar boat for next summer. I planned to book a 1 bedroom at BW and change/ to BC at the 7 month window.
Unfortunately of Fortunately, they changed the rules and I scored a BW view. What do I do, go for SAB or the BW view?

I had the BW view last year and it was awesome!!

OK- something must have happened while I was on vacation- because I didn't know you could confirm a room ressie for a particular room. Are you guaranteed that room? How did you findout? I'm going to OKW in Oct . and BCV in January- can I find out the same info for my ressies?

At Boardwalk only, they split the preferred view category into preferred/boardwalk and preferred/garden or pool. You will be confirmed into one or the other if you select preferred view, but not a particular room. Points are the same for both.

JUST RECIVED MY CONFIRMATION IN THE MAIL FOR BW VIEW IN NOV - LIFE IS GOOD , I LOVE WATCHING THE ACTIVITY AT NIGHT----- ONE STAY OUR ROOM WAS OVER THE BREWERY AND AT CLOSING WE WITNESSED A LARGE BRAWL

We'd made ressies at BW about 6 weeks ago, and I'd requested Preferred, with a BW view. We got our updated confirmation yesterday,noting just what we asked for - a Boardwalk view.

Here's the question - how ambivilent is that? Is a Boardwalk view gonna be just what it says it is? ... cause we're taking another family with us who've never been to WDW, and "showing off the location" is part of the package. Anyone reasonably sure about this one?

I also rec'd the BW view confirmation for my '04 trip. I know it's hard to believe, but that is what we should get. The first test will be by those that booked under the new system and to see that in fact they get the BW view.

We got the "VIEW" as well. We were waitlisted for a standard view, so called this morning and MS explained it as a garanteed view of the BW, so we canceled our std view. We have been to OKW and WLV, but this will be our first trip HOME. So what are the odds of us getting that. We did reserve at the 11month window, but did not put bw view till a month or so ago. So I feel very lucky. We will be in a studio in case anyone is keeping tabs. We will be there for 10 days. Hope it's as nice as everyone says.
