Confirmation from Hotel

Has anyone ever reserved with the on-site hotels directly and received a confirmation letter?
Were you able to still make changes to your reservation when the discount rates came out?

I just made a reservation directly a couple days ago. They made no mention of a confirmation letter, but did give me a confirmation number when I made the reservation.

When I made my ressies they asked my e-mail address. They never sent me a confirmation via e-mail, when I called to check why, they had the incorrect e-mail address. As soon as I gave them the correct e-mail address sent e-mailed me a confirmation. I like to get the confirmation in writing!!

I too only got an e-mail confirmation of my reservation. Please note if you have a rate & then change it when cheaper rates come out they will refund your original payment & then charge you the new rate. I have been able to lower my rate twice & asked them on the 2nd change to not refund the money since it was on my Debit Card. It was an act of congress to get them to not refund & then charge the new rate. It seems Reservations & Accounting are 2 completely different departments & per the 4 people I spoke to the systems are not connected real time.
