Confessions of an obsessive planner... Let the countdown begin!!

I am so much happier with my MK day- once again it's less rushed but still has everything fit in we really want to do. :goodvibes

So, up next is our 2nd Epcot day. This is the only day we won't take an afternoon break. Instead we'll start a bit later, keep going through the afternoon and will then stay at the resort in the evening. I originally had plans to break mid-day like all of our other days but when I was trying to fit in all the entertainers we wanted to see I realized I only had a couple of countries left so I reworked it and fit it all in. Once again I've figured about 45 minutes per country. Like I said earlier if we get there and decide we'd rather see fewer countries and have more time to see the details then that's what we'll do. :thumbsup2

Since my parents aren't coming with us we're going to skip America. I know lots of people enjoy the show and I'm sure that its great but here's the thing-I just know we aren't going to have time to do it all so I would rather spend it seeing the other countries since after all, we LIVE in America. ;) And since I made that decision I was able to move Germany to this day and put Norway in the afternoon on our first day instead of trying to squeeze it in before meeting Karen for lunch. I changed it in the original post so I didn't bog down this post with ANOTHER itinerary change but if you want to see it here you go! :)

Thursday September 30- Day 6: Epcot*S breakfast from MS bakery, arrive around 9:30
· Spaceship Earth
· Ellen’s Energy Adventure
· walk through Innoventions if time allows, anything we missed/want to repeat
· take water taxi across the lagoon, lunch in America
· Italy- juggler 12:30, Kim Possible (if kids want to do again)
· Japan- drummers 2:00
· Morocco- MoRockin’ 3:10
· France
· Canada- movie, Off Kilter 5:30
back to resort to swim/relax (go out through Intl. Gateway, ferry to DHS)

CS Dinner @ ASMu, poolside movie OR go to Mara @ AKL and view animals w/ night vision goggles

thanks, I'm glad you like them. :goodvibes

And the thing is, the only reason I'm organized is because I'm a big ol' nerd when it comes to orgainzing. Whether it's closets or vacation plans I love to organize things. I know, big ol' nerd. :rolleyes1

Okay, one more day of touring plans. I guess after this I'm going to have redirect some of this energy. :rolleyes1

GAH!! I just read a thread on the park strategy board that we need to get in line AT ROPE DROP for the Jedi Academy at 9:55! :scared1:

Someone who went in February with low crowds said that when they came out of the first show at around 10:30 the lines were already long enough that some kids wouldn't be getting in until 11:55- and they'd have to wait in line THE ENTIRE TIME!!!!

I'm glad to know this now because Jace would be very disappointed if he missed this but I'm going to have to rethink my park startegy for DHS.

Wow that's crazy. I can't imagine standing in line for that long!

Your plans look great for AK!

I don't think we waited for the candy lines, but they were pretty short. It just doesn't take long to hand out all that candy! They also gave us candy as we were leaving the park...big candy bars, the nice stuff!

Your plans look great! I just made my "which park on which days plan" I have to get working on my plan for each day now too! I've been so busy, I hate it. I JUST WANT TO DIS!!!

I know but Jace really wants to do it. I think I have a plan- shocking I know. :rolleyes1

Can't wait for the candy! :goodvibes

 And I'm disappointed to be almost finished with touring plans. Don't know what I'll do with myself now.

OMG!!! HOPE HAS A PLAN.........AMAZING!!!!!! Who would have thunk it???? :lmao:

Okay, I think I have it figured out. It was pretty easy actually although it leaves a little more on the 'maybe if we have time' list but that's okay. The Jedi training is important to Jace and something he will remember far longer than another ride so I'm willing to wait in line a little longer than I thought I'd need to.

I decided that we'd eat dinner on the Boardwalk after park closing to make up some of the lost touring time. I wanted to do this originally but the bakery is the only thing on QS dining and while there are things I know Robbie and I will eat I wasn't sure about the kids. Now that I want more touring time I figured Robbie and I could eat there and we'd get something for the kids OOP from the pizza window. If we have time in the park we could also grab something to go and just wait to eat it when we get to the Boardwalk. Either way it will give us some time to move the Great Movie Ride to the evening when we come back. Everything else, except the order of a few things in the morning will stay the same.

So, our new touring plan for DHS:

Tuesday September 28- Day 4: DHS
rope drop, S breakfast @ Starring Rolls (one of us can get this while the rest get in line)
• Go straight to Jedi Training Line, show at 9:55
• HSM concert @ 10:30
• Star Tours (FP)
• Indiana Jones (11:30 show, be in line 10-15 min early)
• CS lunch @ Studio Catering Co.
• Muppets
• HISTK/ SOA
• Lights, Motors, Action (1:20 show, FP)

back to resort to rest/ swim

when rested go back back to DHS
• TSM (FP)
• Great Movie Ride
• Journey Into Narnia
• Voyage of the Little Mermaid (FP)
• Magic of Disney Animation

park closes @ 7, ferry to Boardwalk for CS dinner @ Boardwalk Bakery- get kids something from pizza window or something to go from park if we have time (take bus to Epcot to go back to ASMu)

Sheesh, you didn't even give me time to RESPOND before you had a revised plan!

Looks great to me!!!!!!!

I was wondering if JTA would require going immediately. Nathaniel is dying to do it, too! We might go for am EMH so I'm wondering if he can ride Toy Story Mania right at rope drop before heading over to JTA?

Amanda

I'm not sure Amanda- I'd hate to spend your entire EMH standing in line! What I know is that they take the first 15 people in line and that there is a line to get in line after the first show. I almost wish they still did the random pick from the audience and then we could just enjoy the show with the possibility of being picked but no real expectations.
