Confessions of a WISH dropout

:) So many are getting re-started, how wonderful that we are re-starting together and have one another to support.

Remember me? :wave2:

I must admit, I have avoided this board like the plague :(

I was thinking the other day about when I started the 'challenge' and how motivated I was. I lost 30 pounds during those days but in the past year I have gained every pound back. I am feeling pretty low about myself and posting here although difficult is something I NEED to do.

I am looking for a plan at this point. I'm not sure I am up to starting Atkins again. I missed fruit and am looking for something that will allow more fruit and vegetables without attending meetings every week. Any ideas?

It's great to see some of the old posters and I am looking forward to meeting new ones.

I am sorry I have been away for so long! I feel like I abandoned all of you and I hope you can forgive me.

Hi  Kelsie!

I've gaind back 10 of the 30 lbs I'd lost over the last year. It's funny, I don't have too much trouble 'forgiving' myself about the gain, but I'm really mad at myself for not having lost more to begin with? Is that crazy or what?

I've gotten the South Beach book and am taking a serious look at that. I, too, have realized that I can't do strict Atkins as a way of life....want that fruit and an occasional piece of dark bread ::yes::

Well, I have groceries in the house, hit the treadmill two days in a row.......and have a serious focus for the next 4 weeks (a 10K, which right now I'm wishing was only a 5K  ) Hoping 'attention to details' will help me shed the 10 summer vacation lbs by then.

How's everybody else doing?

OK ... I'm slowly opening the WISH board door and peeking in ... I've been gone a long time and really need to get back on track.

It's been a busy summer -- we're putting an addition on the house and dh and I have been using that as an excuse to not cook and eat fast food constantly. We've both unfortunately gained weight. :(

Tomorrow is 4 weeks 'til we leave for WDW. I had wanted so much to be thinner for our next trip (whenever that was to be) and here I am again, without making any progress. :(

So if it's okay, I'd like to start posting again and hopefully getting and giving much-needed support. I'll be doing WW points, as that's the only thing that's worked for me in the past.

Onward and downward!

I too, am/was a a WISH dropout. I left in mid-June, when summer vacation hit. Then a full dropout of WW happened in July at summer camp, then Disney. So Sunday was my birthday, and now I am back in full swing as of Monday. I've been keeping to my points so far, not used any Flex yet.
