Confessions 2010....Spill it...Share it...

So fun!!!

I would leave hubby for Johnny Depp ANYDAY!!! But who wouldn't.

I'm addicted to food. Not just, "I'm addicted to Doritos or addicted to chocolate or addicted to Chinese food. I'm talking FOOD!!! I get so excited knowing we going to a birthday party, anniversary, picnic, wedding, funeral, etc JUST knowing that there will be food there (and no, I didn't mean I get excited about going to a funeral BUT I do think about the little reception that follows knowing I get to see all the little goodies---sick, I know)

I am a VERY jealous person, I know it's childish and I hate it.

I dream about winning the lottery EVERY DAY and what I would do with the money (don't worry, family & friends....you're all taken care of)

I went on a blind date with my DH about 22yrs ago. It was also a double date with a friend of mine and a friend of his. I have had a crush on his friend ever since. He is now married with 3 kids and lives across the street from us. No worries though....my DH, his wife, his mom and every one else on this planet knows about it.

I wear sunglasses 95% of the time I leave the house (the only time I don't is if it's raining) but I don't wear them because the sun is bright. I wear them because I'm insecure and I've never been able to look people in the eye. Atleast this way, I can look at them without them knowing and I feel "safe" :confused3

I am cheap when it comes to buying certain things but then really don't care on other things. For example....if I need like a spice for my kitchen, say like garlic pepper, I will huff & puff if I had to pay over $3 for it. But I will then turn around and go to a Tastefully Simple party (like I am tonight) and will have no problem spending $9 for a spice and will probably buy a few of them. I just don't get it.

I always have to start walking on my left foot. Always when getting dressed, have to put my left sock on first, left leg in the pants first, left arm in the shirt first, I have to wash the left side of my body in the shower first, or else I feel lopsided. What the H3LL is that all about????

Ok I'm in...

I have to eat all of one food on my plate before I start eating something else. Don't know if anyone in my family has picked up on that yet or not. And I am not proud but I can out-eat my dh :( I love food!

I come home every day from work and head straight to the bathroom - it's a place of solitude - my kids must think I have bathroom issues or hold it all day at work (little do the know I just go in there for some peace and quiet and sit on the counter) lol!!!

I, too, fantasize about winning the lottery - at least weekly

My favorite movie series is Austin Powers - I can quote stupid lines from there all the time. I also watch Hanna Montana even when my kids don't!

Ahhh my life is boring!!!!!!

I just at a bowl of chocolate peanut butter ice cream for breakfast.

I love mindless reality TV. My favourite show is The Biggest Loser but I will watch pretty much anything. I also used to watch American Gladiators when I got home from school every day and I miss that show!!:rotfl2:

I like to think of myself as a tidy person but... I am actually kind of a slob!:rolleyes1

I have casual conversations with my dog throughout the day and sometimes I make her answer in the "doggy voice" I have come up with for her. I'm actually quite proud of it, I think it suits her perfectly!

My life is pretty boring....

1) I am a quasi-slacker Mom - we had salad and popcorn for dinner last night and my DS took his baseball uniform from the dirty wash pile for his game
2) If I really like a certain song, I can listen to it over and over...
3) I enjoy frozen pizza and filet mignon (but not together!!)
4) I live 15 miles outside of NYC and worked there for 10 years, but I could never live there - love my peace and quiet in the 'burbs too much
5) I am a wine snob... enough said...
6) I find most TV insufferable and would most often be found with a good book.
7) and like most people here, I spend WAY too much time here!!;)

karenos;)

Ok I'm in...

I have to eat all of one food on my plate before I start eating something else. Don't know if anyone in my family has picked up on that yet or not. And I am not proud but I can out-eat my dh :( I love food!

I hate for my food to touch. I used to eat one thing, then drink something, then turn my plate. I have been able to stop that, but I still have to drink something if I change what item I am eating.

My confessions:

1. I am another one who LOVES food! I have all my meals planned out for the day and I get really excited when a really great meal is coming up. Sometimes I'll be stressed out at work and the one thing that will make me feel better is knowing dinner is not far away popcorn::

2. I really love Wizards of Waverly Place

3. I'm addicted to Glee but everytime it's on I get sad that I have zero singing ability

4. I'm totally convinced we'll win the lottery one day; not only do I know what we'll spend it on, down to tiny little things like the new Marc Jacobs bag I want...but I've planned out how I'll tell DH if I'm the first one to know. This is all useless because we never actually PLAY the lottery!

5. I talk to my cats like they're people - when I leave the house, I say goodbye to each of them and tell them when I'll be home, then when I return I tell them about my day :rolleyes1

I abhor Lady Gaga but could listen to the Glee version of Poker Face all day long. I also watch Glee on hulu several times a week. I LOVE musicals. However I couldn't sing my way out of a paper bag. I feel very sorry for subjecting my preschool classes to my singing.

I have a stash of money in my underwear drawer. Several hundred. Or thousand. Dh does not know. I'm not planning anything nefarious with it, I actually do not have any plans for it, I just have a fear of NOT having money... and dh's attitude towards money is "Everything always works out."

And while I fear having no money, I am not greedy/stingy. If someone needs something, I will go without to give them what they need. Family, friends, students at school, my boys' classrooms.

YES, I do this too. Sometimes my hubby will come downstairs and ask who I am talking to. I tell him, "The 3 cats." He just rolls his eyes like I am some weirdo.

Helllo!!!!

You'd be a fool, not to. Hubba Hubba!

:goodvibes thank you for posting a pic ::begins drooling on the floor::

I have to admit that I frequent the people of walmart site several times a week. Nothing makes me laugh like that site.

Have you been to awkwardfamilyphotos.com?
I think it's even funnier that people of walmart.
I love the website so much, I even bought the book they just published!

ETA: I'm another one who talks to the family pet like she is a person. She gets more attention from everyone in the family, than anyone else in the family. Pepper (rat terrier) is so spoiled...she has us all trained to do her bidding. She acts more like a cat than a dog, you have to earn her love. LOL

I am a prude.

I have Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift on my ipod. And I am 34. But I also have Nirvana and a ton of Lady Gaga on my ipod too.

Every time I see my son around a girl at school I secretly wonder if she will be the one he marries. I am always super nice to any girl at his school (he is 13).

I try to make sure my son has as many things that the "popular" kids have, because he has other issues (ADHD, Aspergers) and I want to make sure he fits in as much as possible.

I am trying to budget - really am - but I cannot wait until I go to the Coach outlet today because I really want to get a matching billfold for my purse.......

Edited to add :

I also talk to my pets like they are people. I let them know that the oldest dog is in charge and tell them to behave while we are gone.

I have a H-U-G-E crush on Jason Biggs (American Pie series) and my husband and son roll their eyes at it.

I am a 24 year old guy who loves going to the day spa and getting massages, facials, pedicures, etc.

I live in the Caribbean but hate boats.

Okay, true confessions....

I still secretly read Nancy Drew sometimes....

hehe...I PLAY Nancy Drew games on the PC! My cousin (27) and I (inches away from 28) love to play them together. Her 8 y/o son watches, and helps us sometimes. :rotfl: OH and we just RECENTLY started playing on "senior detective" level. ;)

We do find other "Adventure" games too, when there isn't a new Nancy Drew to play. We are very fond of Sherlock Holmes games too! (Most of these boxes say ages 10 and up!)

I am a major film snob. But I LOVE The Hangover. My favorite movie of all time is Back to the Future. Doesn't sound like typical movie snob fare, does it? But seriously, I usually like indie or foreign movies, or any movie that has Oscar potential written all over it. I actually think The Hangover should have been nominated...and I'm not the only one who thinks that.
It's the most quotable movie ever!

I'm thinking it's 2nd most quotable. Have you seen Step Brothers? :lmao:

I've watched videos on PopThatZit.com

:sad2: I said it and I feel better.

ewww LOL

Here's one: I confess that I live in Hammond too and I'm pretty darn sure I've seen your car AND your husband's car! If it IS you, I'm sure you know why! :thumbsup2

I'm the biggest Alanis Morissette fan... I've been since 1995 and still going strong! (But I get embarassed when people hear me listening to it, so I turn it down when I come to a traffic light in my car...)

I like late night walks/bike rides so I can spy at my neighbors who have their windows open!

I speed... BIG time.

I love her too!!! It's like raaaaaaaain, on your wedding day, it's a free riiiiide when you've already paid, it's the good adviiiiice that you just didn't take! And who woulda thought, it figuuuuures

I completely agree The Hangover should have been nominated for a few Oscars-- at the very least, best original song!! "What do tigers dream of..." I'll break into that ANYWHERE-- car, shower, work!

:rotfl2: I am singing that song in my head now! (I'm at work, otherwise I'd be singing it outloud!)

I love that song! Another favorite of mine is "We're the three best friends that anyone could have..".
I am just really concerned that the sequel won't be anywhere near as funny as the first one. Some movies just need to be left alone, you know?

I am in agreement, I'm nervous that it's gonna tank and then I won't like the characters as much

Okay I'll play.

I'm Lorianne - I've been a Girl Scout Leader for 16 years and I HATE GIRL SCOUT COOKIES! Whew, I said it, I feel better! :lmao:

Everyone including my kids and husband think I'm 39... I'm really turning 41 in august!

My husband thinks I leave work early every Thursday to clean the house while everyone is gone.... really, I work a few hours of overtime
a month and THE CLEANING LADY COMES IN ON THURSDAYS! I just make sure I am home and smell like clorox/mr clean when he gets home.

Shhhhh... I pretend not to know how to do things so DH will do them for me.

This one tops all!!

I read your description of the age thing, just didn't quote it. But wow, still amazing.

And I think your hubby knows about the maid. hehe

for entertainment I'll turn down the sound on the TV and come up with my own script for what they actors are saying during the commercials. My version is usually R rated though I've been known to stray into X-rated, depending on the product being pitched

Oh man, I've gotta try this tonight with DH!:rotfl:

I have a H-U-G-E crush on Jason Biggs (American Pie series) and my husband and son roll their eyes at it.

Have you seen My Best Friend's Girl? If you do, you'll get a very different perception of him. Yikes...

Here’s an official list from me:

I love listening to 80’s music every time I clean (80s on 8 on my direcTV) – I dance around to it, I’ll even dance with the broom or vacuum every now and then!

I have a mini celebrity crush on Kevin Spacey (and it’s NOT b/c of A Beautiful Mind). I just think he’s smart and sexy for an older balding man! LOL

I am 28 years old and think Taylor Lautner (Jacob from the Twilight saga) is so sexy!

I have a severe addiction to lamebook & failbook --- I love reading people’s ridiculous facebook posts & pics!!

I have been working on the same cross-stitching project for 3 years now. LOL

Last year, for at least a few days I held 3 different ADR's for the same day b/c none of them were the ideal times and it took me a while to determine which would be the best (least inconvenient) for us to make it to. :guilty:

Last night I had a dream about Ryan Reynolds. (yum!) His car broke down by my house (except apparently I lived at my parents’ house in my dream)….then we were hugging, then ended up in the house watching tv, and I was trying to get him into my bedroom! LOL (oh and then my stupid@$$ alarm went off and ruined it!!!!)

oh, one more...

My coworkers and I used to do stuff to our computers on purpose just so we could call the hot IT guy to come "fix" it!! :rotfl:

he's no longer here though :sad2:

It has been really fun reading all of these!

Ok - here are my confesssions:

1. I love when there is a tornado warning - I secretly hope to see a tornado.
2. I am addicted to office supplies, bring on the post it notes!
3 I really love reading my teen daughter's books! Twilight series, Harry Potter series, Blue Blood series, etc...
4. I am 36 and still like watching Sponge Bob, Scooby Doo, and Disney movies.
5. I completely suck at being the stereo-typical "woman" - I hate cooking, cleaning, gardening, sewing...

I treat my dog like my child. He goes to puppy socials and classes, has a car seat, etc. He brings so much joy to my life and I smile every time I look at him. :lovestruc

I have anxiety disorder and sometimes will pick at my skin or face without really knowing it. I hate that I do it!

I'm graduating with my BS (Accounting) in August and am terrified I'm never going to get anywhere because I can't seem to find a job :(. No one wants to give new grads a chance to gain experience.

I saw my favorite band (see siggie) from the third row a few weeks ago and when they appeared on stage, I cried. Not a stupid, blubbering, teenage-girlie cry, but an emotional, "I can't believe this" kind of cry. It's still embarassing. Somewhat fortunately, only one person saw me do this and that was one of the perpetrators himself.

OK, here goes.......

I love mechanical pencils and every morning when I come to work I choose one that matches my outfit (I have a variety of colors in my drawer).

I hate wearing shoes and when I am at my desk I usually take my shoes off. For that matter, if I am in a conference room and my feet are under the table I usually have them off.

I love being having alone time. All three in my family are like that so we can all be home and go off into our own corners and it is like being alone. I love it, though, when I have the house to myself for a spell.

:thumbsup2
Me too!
