Today for lunch we had some pre-Atkins food. Fried chicken...yes I had some. Corn on the cob....yes I had some. Macaroni and cheese....yes I had some.:( :( :( :(

It was really good but the rest of the afternoon I was yawning those really BIG yawns. It all smelled SO good and I feel bad that I gave in to the smells but I did drink extra water.;)

OK so do I get a spanking now or do I at least get a few points for confessing my sins???

DH(DaddyDon) is really making me feel bad because he said HE ate tuna for lunch.(Of course I never did tell yall about all the popcorn he ate at the movies the other night)OOOPS!!!;) Ok....I admit I am squealing on him in order to take some of the heat off of me!!!!

Well, you won't get any spankings or lectures from me! :D

I think practically all of us have done this at one time or another. The last time I binged on carbs, my body let me know just how bad those carbs are for me! :p I was achey all over, tired, felt blah and bloated for a day.

{{ Hugs }} for you! I wish you a lesson learned and a speedy recovery. Now, jump back up here on the wagon and let's get going in the right direction, OK?

Soooo Sorrry mum4jenn my cofession was in my weekly check in,Make her walk the plank matiespirate: Confess or not i had tuna for lunch :bounce: :bounce: Oh boy!!!!! But i bet the chicken wasnt as good as my chester fried chicken from 12 years ago !!!lol:jumping1:

You've done so well- a little slip won't make much of a difference. You'll be back "behaving" tomorrow so don't feel too guilty. You did drink plenty of water, so the whole day wasn't a complete disaster.

No spankings from me either!! You have done so well with your weight loss. Some time or other we are all going to have a little splurge :hyper: Don't feel back, just get right back on your plan and you'll be fine ::yes::

This is a lifestyle change and if you can't have fried chicken, corn on the cob and mac and cheese once in a while it just wouldn't work. I have found if I deprive myself of something than I set myself up for a binge. But by allowing small bits of my favorite things, I do okay. You are doing a great job and I am sure you will continue to do so.

Did you have a "hangover" the next day? I've heard stories that when someone who has been faithful to Atkins, eats refined carbohydrates, that they feel yucky the next day. Did you avoid that? While I would hate for you to feel badly, what a great incentive to stay away from refined carbs.

Actually I felt fine the next day.I got really sleepy the day I ate it but ever since I have felt fine and have not had any cravings for more. I forgot to weigh this morning to see if there was a difference. I hope when I weigh in the morning there will not be a big change. Maybe with all the water I drank it kind of helped with not having the carb hang over.

I do regret eating those things. I know if I had been at my old school I would not have caved in to the temptation. But it is ok. I have control of the situation and I know feel that I will be stronger during Thanksgiving. I have had dreams of mashed potatoes for that day but now I kind of feel "ehh its just a potato." My life will go on if I do not have mashed taters at Tgiving.!!!!!!!!!;) :D

I won't lecture either, I was bad today too.
those hershey kisses they had in the candy bowl kept calling my name, work was driving me crazy and I finally couldn't resist.
I had 2 of them, but the guilt made me feel like I had 20. Wish guilt used up calories. Peggie

I don't think any of us here could lecture you on that one. We all have those times when we have the urge for something and like others have said, if you deprive for too long you may really over do it. You confessed and got it out, so now it is time to get back on the wagon. You are doing great and that one time isn't going to hurt you.

No lectures from me either, I have caved once or twice before myself! I must agree though, it did make me stronger! When I realized what I had done, it only made me try that much harder!

We have all done it before, nothing to worry about! :)
