Condos/villas between DW and convention center?

DH is making plans to go to a conference at the convention center near Universal in July. DS and I will tag along and go to Disney. Any recommendations for resorts that are convenient to both? Looking at Vista Cay and LBV Resort Village on VRBO so far, but would appreciate any suggestions.

go with Vista Cay.

It's directly next to the convention center and its a short 10 minute drive on the x way to Disney
