Thanks Doc, so you can just show up there for the meeting? Is there a specific place at the resort and/or a fee involved for attending?

What kind of things or topics discussed usually go on at the meetings??
Anyone can attend a
DVC annual meeting. DVC CMs prefer to know in advance who is coming to the meeting, so they can plan accordingly.
In less than a month we should be receiving a written notice in the mail about the upcoming meeting. It will let you know where your meeting will take place & will include a brief budget. There is no fee for attending the meetings. The meetings are not necessarily held at your DVC resort.
topics ... I always say it reminds me of a "rules of order" book. There are actually two meetings - the board of directors & the members. The budget is presented for the resort by the DVC Treasurer. We have a new Treasurer this year, so it should be interesting to see how it is presented. I doubt there will be much change, but who knows

.
There are two question & answer sessions - one for just the budget & another for general DVC related topics. Some members can be very picky about their issues/concerns like "my washer is too noisy" (heck, it's a GE & GE appliances tend to be noisier than other brands) or "there aren't enough channles on TV for my children" (you're on vacation, not a tv watching marathon!), etc. Others have genuine concerns about various topics like maintenance, making reservations, etc.
I encourage any DVC member who is in the area at the time of any of hte annual meetings, to attend. You can meet the CMs who run your resort - general manager, supervisors of housekeeping, engineering, front desk, genral store, etc. - & CMs who run DVC - accouinting, member services, etc.
