Condition of rooms at VWL

Can anyone tell me about the general condition of the rooms at VWL--I am bringing guests this October and have never stayed there before. Last time I was at BW (2 years ago) I was disappointed in the condition of the rooms there. They really needed to be rehabed. So I thought I would try a different place this time. I have a 2 bedroom lockoff and 3 studios. Any input would be most appreciated. Thanks

VWL just went through a rehab last fall. I believe they've finished all the rooms by now, perhaps someone who's stayed there recently can verify?

We stayed at VWL in November, first in a studio and then in a 2 bedroom when more family members arrived. Both rooms were in excellent condition.

When I booked they told me there were really no views to
request like at the Boardwalk--is that correct?

That's correct, there are no bookable view categories like there are at BWV.

Most of the VWL villas overlook the woods; a few have a view of the pool and Bay Lake.

Our room this past December was refurbed and in excellent condition.

We stayed over Thanksgiving and the carpet and furniture in the living room seemed very new and in excellent condition

I was there in March and everything seemed new to me. No style change though.

We're home exactly 1 week. We were in a dedicated 2 bedroom and found everything to be in order and good shape. There were 2 non-working TV remotes but they were replaced within 5 minutes of making the call. We did not use the pull-out sofa for sleeping, only sitting.

If you use the whirpool tub, check the direction of the jets prior to turning them on. I'm sure they got misdirected during cleaning. I shot water clean out the window and over to the bed.

We were there in April in a 2 bedroom and everything was in great condition. As a matter of fact we commented to each other that the entire building, including the public areas looked great. I wouldn't worry about it.
