My husband hates condiments, no really. His Hot dogs, hamburgers, everything he eats plain. Me, I LOVE condiments and just about all of them. So which condiment can you not live without?

Poll coming.

Other: Brown sauce. (Closest American-made equivalent would be A1, but only if I have no choice. HP is the real deal.)

This is one of the few holdovers from my childhood of eating mostly British food. HP is a must for breakfast, and a bacon butty just isn't worth the trouble without it.

It's a tie between Hidden Valley Ranch and Texas Pete Hot Sauce.

I am another one who eats hamburgers and hot dogs plain... I can eat a sandwich plain as well.

BUT...

I need ranch with my fries, and hot sauce with my eggs, hashbrowns, and many, many other foods! :cloud9:

I realized I left Ranch Dressing off at the last second and the funny thing is I was dipping my Pizza Roll in ranch dressing at that moment lol

BBQ sauce and ketchup a close 2nd.

BTW, you don't have HP sauce in America!!! Oh, no. It is the best thing to have with a bacon (that is English back bacon!) buttie!!

I picked Ketchup, my second choice would be black pepper. I eat my sandwiches dry so I am happy to live without Mayo, don't like Mustard, and all the others I can live without.

My son is like your husband, doesn't like ANY condiments. But I was the same way most of my life, the only condiment I would eat was mustard, ate mayo for the first time in my 30s.

I voted Ketchup because my son says I put it on EVERYTHING  but my sentimental fave is definitely deli mustard! :thumbsup2

I voted salt but that is really more of a seasoning to me rather than a condiment. I can take or leave condiments. I use them on a regular basis but nothing I LOVE.

Have to choose two: salt and sugar..;)

You can get HP here, but it's imported, and not many Americans keep it around as a standard thing. Restaurants normally do not have it to provide, though they will usually have A1 (which is, of course, not at all the same thing, LOL!)

I like it on just about any savoury breakfast food, but it's especially perfect with bacon or sausages.

I wish the poll was multiple choice.... ketchup, hot sauce, salsa

It would be fresh ground black pepper for me. I'm not emotionally attached to sauce type of condiments.

yes we do. :)

I bought mine at Wegman's grocery..... you can take it back to England if you like.... minus the 2 TBS I tried and didn't enjoy. ;)

Yeah, they have it at every Meijer store around here!

And I second the :crazy2:... you can keep it!

I want A-1!!!

Mayo is the only thing on the list that I could live without. I can't live without Miracle Whip though (so it's cheating I guess).

I'm not a huge fan of Horseradish, but would hate to have shrimp cocktail without it. Same with hot sauce. I'm not a huge fan, but so long hot wings without it. I only eat both occasionally, but if I knew I couldn't have either again, I would be very sad.

Ketchup would be the hardest for me though.
