I have dinner "ressies" for the Concourse Steakhouse for tonight, which will probably be my last visit there. My wife and I had dinner there on our Honeymoon (1975) and have always used it as a back-up when other favourites were booked. Food has ranged from very good (early years) to mediocore but has never disapointed us.
Anyone else sad to see it changed to a fast food service area?

We too will be having a last visit to the Concourse Steakhouse this May. We were very excited to hear that they pushed the closing back to May 31 since we arrive on May 11 (originally slated to close on May 10), so we will get our last "first" dinner.
For the past few years, we have started our vacation off with dinner at the Concourse Steakhouse and it really got us into Disney mood with the Monorail going by and the hoopla from Chef Mickey's next door. We have always had great service and good food and we are very sad to see it go. We will definitely enjoy this last visit and say "goodbye" to one of our favs.:wave2:

While I am also disappointed it is closing because the two times my family and I had dinner there was very good, I think it will be nice to have the brand new counter service location replacing the Concourse Steakhouse which will make for a better atmosphere.

I'm staying at the Polynesian in May and was wondering how long it would take me to get from there to the CR to eat at the Concourse Steakhouse? I am renting a car... is the quickest way to drive? :confused3

By car it would take less then 5 minutes, however if you did not feel like driving you could take the Monorail to the Contemporary.
