Hello,
I have just made ressies for the Concourse Steakhouse prior to going on a Wishes Cruise and was wondering what other guests thoughts on the retaurant were and what their favourite entrees were

We ate there last September. It's a great place. The monorail going by overhead is nice. I know most menus have been updated, but I had the filet mignon and thought it was great. And if you're getting an appetizer, the Asian wings are really good.

The Filet Mignon was my favorite. The onion rings as an appetizer were really good. They came with 3 different dipping sauces.

Have had the Filet, NYStrip, ribs & penne w/shrimp & would recommend any one of them.

Also, LOVE :cloud9: their lobster bisque & onion rings are great too.

Creme brulee was LUSH last week!

But :ssst: don't tell anybody.

We loved Concourse! I had the filet and it put the filet at LeCellier to shame. It was a great cut, very tender, and cooked perfectly.

Other members of our party had the ribs and loved that.

We honestly liked it all!

Just ate there last week. Had the prime rib with BBQ sauce. The steak was good, but could have done without the sauce. Husband had the filet and said it was good. Lobster bisque soup is great. Dessert - the butterfinger cheesecake was a memorable dessert for me.

They must have taken the filet off the menu. I was just there Saturday and they did not have a filet on the menu. Very strange for a steakhouse. We were laughing because the kid's menu did have a filet on it????
I had the strip steak, flavor was good, but it was ordered medium and served very rare. Server never came over to check on us after our meal was served.
DD had the shrimp pasta dish, it appeared at first to be good, but the over powering garlic in it took over the flavor of the dish. DH's top sirloin was good and the best dish of all.... drum roll please....
was the kid's filet!!

I had the NY Strip and it was great! I thought the sauce was amazing! I had the scallop appetizer which was just okay. DH had the wings and they were so good!

We ate there just 2 weeks ago (9/23) and had the following:

Appetizers: Crisp Onion rings w/3 dipping suaces, Honey Sesame Chicken Wings, kids Shrimp Cocktail and Mixed green salad (We all liked the onion rings the best!)

Entrees: 7 oz filet w/ gorgonzola butter (good, but just a wee bit stong- and I love gorgonzola!), 14 oz Chipotle Glazed Ribeye (DH liked it, but said he'd probably not order it again), Kids' grilled filet and grilled chicken- all with mashed potatoes- except for the ribeye, which came with more onion rings! (we loved the potatoes!)

Desserts: Triple Chocolat Cake (good, of cours!), Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee (my absolute FAV!!!), Kid's Painter's Pallet and choc. shake.

We really did enjoy this meal and will do it again whenever we get to go back. We'd heard the monorail and Chef Mickey's was noisey and distracting, but we did not find that to be the case.

Glad to hear it! We have an ADR for our upcoming trip & I keep reading how noisy the monorail is. Stupid question - can you see the monorail from the restuarant?

yes the monorail does go over your head but its not that noisy . i stopped noticing after awhile. i agree that the filet mingnon is the best.... it was still on the menu when i ate there on sept 27th. i ate there again on oct 1 and they had run out. maybe they were waiting to get some more in? :confused3
ask the server for a side of the honey carrots! sooooooo good!

Concourse is one of our favorite places to eat. We are going to be there over Halloween and plan on going twice while we are there and hope they have found the Filets! My wife has severe food allergies and has to speak with the Chef where ever we eat. When we ate there in the past they had special dinner rolls just for her and made her a special dessert that wasn't on the menu. Just another special Disney touch.

PS I LOVE the Creme Brulee!

I have a question regarding the steaks at Concourse. If I prefer my steak to have very little pink...what should I request? Each restaurant cooks their steaks differently and I am just wondering what the steaks look like at Concourse. Probably a silly question...but I don't want to order it, send it back, and still not be happy with it...thanks!

I thought the steaks at Concourse were cooked as asked. My DH orders Medium-Rare, I order medium...his was pink/red...mine was a nice even pink. I would order yours as Medium-Well.

I had the Filet Aug. 27, DH had the Chipolte Steak with the sauce on the side. He said he was glad it was on the side since it was very strong.

I really enjoyed our meal there. :thumbsup2

We are going in Feb., and I can't wait try the filet. I sure hope it's back on the menu by then!!!!! :confused3
