Conclusion - Need to Book FP+ as soon as possible

You historically don't ride headliners. We do. I will do way more than you did if the crowds work out that way. One can only hope! :)

And, thanks.

I don't know where you got the idea that we usually don't ride headliners, but that is absolutely wrong.

I guess the difference is that we are usually satisfied doing any one ride once in a day, though we will do them multiple times in one trip.

Let's just say we've read each other's point of view on the parks for years. Pretty sure you posted that. Pretty positive, in fact. But that's neither here nor there. Sorry if I misunderstood your past statements.

Funny I don't see you asking Jade the same questions when she/he posts pictures from the first week of march and says "look no lines at the kiosk".

I'm not questioning anyone's experiences, I am just pointing out that crowd size makes a big difference.

So, I think that the experience with FPs at Disneyland on April 21 will be a lot different than it was during the Christmas holiday.

You don't disagree with that, do you?

No problem. You apparently have me confused with someone else, but that's OK.

But you are calling me out for "crowd level" but not someone you typically agree with on every level. That was the point. It's like you just want to argue for the sake of arguing. The difference is.....we don't hit the Report button.

Yep. I plan on having 3 Fps within the first 2 hours of park opening. RSR, WOC and TOT will be the initial intent. We will ride RSR in standby and single rider within that first hour. Then hit up a short wait at TSMM and California Screamin' in the meantime. I will then probably stroll across the street and pick up a FP for Star Tours or Space while we wait for our RSR FP to be active since the parks aren't connected. After that we will play it by ear....and THAT is when it gets interesting! ;)

Sounds like fun. I can tell you that that wouldn't have worked that easily on the days we were there, especially with the resort guests being let into every park at 7 AM every day. We were not staying at one of the Disney hotels. By the time we were able to enter DCA, there was already a massive line at the RSR FP distribution point and the posted standby wait for RSR was close to an hour. But we rode RSR 3 times on our trip, each time using the single rider line.

And all of that will be easily doable.

Can't wait for a full report when you get back!

This is interesting to me. We last visited DL before RSR was a factor so I'm wondering the best way to handle that ride.

We also stayed offsite. We were at the Candy Cane Inn and really liked it.

RSR lasts a bit longer now that it's connected to the system. Are you considering a trip west soon? It's pointless to put too much thought into FP strategy unless you can make it before they roll out MM+ in 2016.

I'd love to know when they intend to roll out MM+. I won't be able to go until next year at the earliest.

Lies... I got reported in a fp thread once. It's where I learned that sarcasm isn't allowed here apparently? :D

That's what I meant too.

So you just joined this week? I forgot to say "welcome!"

Why thank you! I must say it's been very interesting so far but I'm sure everyone has a reason for their opinions. My grandson is the world to me and I was so proud to be able to take him along on our visits. Such precious memories that I will always cherish.

I'm sure the time of year makes a huge difference. The every day early entries are not common, so usually it would be easy to just be at the gate at DCA when it opens and go right to either RSR or the FP distribution point (which is not at the ride). Like I said, because of those early entries we relied exclusively on the single rider line there. That shouldn't be totally necessary at most other times.

I've planned the DCA days where there isn't EMH. We aren't staying onsite this time (directly across the street). We bought 4 day PHs so we get one day on Magic Morning early entry at DL during our stay. My plan is to be first in line at DCA and head directly to the FP machine...pull it...ride standby immediately afterwards and then ride Single Rider directly afterwards. Then it's pretty much gravy with FP the rest of the day. At least I hope so! If I have to eat my words then I will!

:thumbsup2

Yep, if you don't have early entry, you definitely need to start at the park that didn't have early entry so you aren't fighting people already in line.

I totally agree, but the week between Christmas and New Year that isn't an option when they have early entry at both parks every day.
