Concierge, waitlists and keep looking?

I have never been in a concierge room on any of the Disney ships and I want to try it. I have one waitlisted. Here is my question - how often does the waitlist come through? Should I look periodically to see if any that are unavailable become available?

Tell me your strategy for getting a concierge room.

I agree... nothing really available on the cruise I want. I just wondered if anything fell out or if upgrading at the port is worth it.

It's possible but not guaranteed so I would just find a date when a room is available

Since Concierge deposits are non-refundable, they are much less likely than other rooms to become available if they are sold out. Of course, someone could always transfer to another cruise, but, with the number of Concierge staterooms on the current ships, it does not happen very often.

If you are set on sailing Concierge and everything is sold out, grab any room that becomes available and do not wait until you get to port. Your chances of upgrading there will be slim to none.

Waitlisting for concierge is a thing? How does that work? I always assumed if someone moved sailings, their room would just go back into general inventory until someone noticed it was free and snapped it up.

Call periodically. I remember I was waitlisted on a cruise, and I saw someone say they moved their conceirge room to a different location. So I called them right away and they were able to upgrade my room.

I didn't either until I called for the cruise I wanted and found out I had to waitlist that room.
