Thinking of doing 14th Floor Concierge. Is it true that there are no daybeds in the 14th floor rooms? I think I read it on someone's web. Also, is the extra $ worth it for concierge? Any feedback from recent guests would be much appreciated. Want to book very soon - in fact, I have a "hold" so we need to decide real fast! Thanks!!

I've never stayed at the Contemporary - nor have I stayed concierge.

But this will bump your post up and maybe someone else can help you out!

We stayed 14th floor concierge in January 2003. Yes, it's true that the single rooms don't have daybeds. I'm not sure if it's because it's usually part of a suite or if it's because the larger balcony and larger bathroom in the 14th floor single rooms make the bedroom part slightly smaller. I really enjoyed my concierge stay although you need to ask yourself if it will really be worth it for you. Some things to consider when making your decision is do you plan to take advantage of the private concierge staff and the food service which runs daily from 7:00am - 10:00pm. Is it worth it to you to have a larger balcony and a larger bathroom? And is it worth having a refrigerator in your room that is stocked daily with soda, juice, and water. While it is expensive, I have to admit that it's wonderful to feel special and to be pampered. Some other advantages to staying 14th floor concierge is nightly turndown service without having to request it and a large concierge lounge which has 2 balconies overlooking the Magic Kingdom, so no matter what side of the hotel you're on you'll always have a view of the Castle. I hope that helps you make your decision. I'd be happy to answer any other questions you may have.

Hey doriemg- how did you book the 14th floor. A while back we called to get prices and the lady gave me a price for the light conceirge and I asked her about the 14th floor and she said she didn't think there was a difference( I didn't push it b/c we had pretty much decided to stay at the Poly)but I was wondering if we should ask for the 14th floor or the main conceirge?

Thanks to your experience at Contemp. Concierge. We booked it the other night - 14th Floor Concierge! We're so excited. Never stayed Concierge at any resort and it's also a first at the Contemporary. We decided to splurge and yes, having a fully stocked fridge will certainly help - we're going in July. We plan to take full advantage of food offerings.

We booked through CRO for room only directly with WDW. I just asked the price for light concierge (12th floor) and full concierge, 14th floor where we booked. Yes it was very expensive but you only live once!!!

Thanks again.

Hey Princesslondon,

We specifically asked for the 14th floor concierge. There's a difference between the 14th floor concierge and the 12th floor light concierge. If you ask for the 14th floor the Reservation Cast Member should know what you're talking about. That sounds like one of those cases where you shouldn't book anything and politely hang up with that cast member then call back to see if you get a more knowledgeable cast member

Hey Lizzytish,

You're gonna love the 14th floor. Have a great time. But beware, once you do concierge you can never go back. Back in 1998 we received an unexpected complimentary upgrade from a tower room to the 14th floor concierge. Needless to say, that was a magical vacation and we were so spoiled that we couldn't even consider staying anywhere but concierge. So when we went back in 2002 and again in 2003 we payed bookoo bucks to get a room on the concierge level. :teeth:

Doriemg,

I know we will certainly be spoiled! We're only going for 3 nights so it certainly makes it more "affordable" (LOL). We will be at our new timeshare the week prior. Can't wait to be there!!! Thanks for all the good words ----

Lizzy~We stayed 14th floor concierge this past summer (1 BR suite, MK view), for five eves. Yes, it is expensive~with no discounts available, but well-worth the SPLURGE. We enjoyed every moment, and the C. staff made our visit very memorable (with little "extras"). DD loved swiping the card in the elevator to access our floor...like a secret passcode feature (FUN)! Just a little more of the MAGIC of WDW. The CR is one of our all time favorites, and the 14th floor was the BEST experience EVER at this resort. ENJOY!:wave2:

You made a great choice.14th floor concierge is awesome. Two years ago when we went 14th floor was booked but the girl on the phone told us that the 12th floor tower club was exactly the same. You can't believe how disappointed we were when we got there. Not even close. They don't even have food in the evenings and the breakfast foods are in the hall. They were always running out of everything. The concierge staff didn't even contact us until the day before we were leaving and then they couldn't get any reservations we couldn't get. You're going to love the 14th floor.
