We stayed 14th floor concierge in January 2003. Yes, it's true that the single rooms don't have daybeds. I'm not sure if it's because it's usually part of a suite or if it's because the larger balcony and larger bathroom in the 14th floor single rooms make the bedroom part slightly smaller. I really enjoyed my concierge stay although you need to ask yourself if it will really be worth it for you. Some things to consider when making your decision is do you plan to take advantage of the private concierge staff and the food service which runs daily from 7:00am - 10:00pm. Is it worth it to you to have a larger balcony and a larger bathroom? And is it worth having a refrigerator in your room that is stocked daily with soda, juice, and water. While it is expensive, I have to admit that it's wonderful to feel special and to be pampered. Some other advantages to staying 14th floor concierge is nightly turndown service without having to request it and a large concierge lounge which has 2 balconies overlooking the Magic Kingdom, so no matter what side of the hotel you're on you'll always have a view of the Castle. I hope that helps you make your decision. I'd be happy to answer any other questions you may have.
