Concierge service??

Always a hot topic here and DCL do themselves no favors on this one with conflicting information from their website etc.

This is a hot issue I am sure someone will chime in, but if you book the private room at Palo they are clear on that, you should tip, its excluded. They need to tidy this up, I tend to tip around the Palo fee mark so if brunch is $30pp I tip $30pp.

Confused :confused3....
we are part of a group having brunch in the "private room"... Brunch is the standard pp rate, correct? In this case, $15pp.. so you tip 100%?

In the Private room the fee is the same pp, I just said I personally tip 100% of the fee.

I don't think that is out of line at all. :goodvibes After all, the $15pp fee is just what it costs over and above the cost included in the cruise already. You could never go to any restaurant and get a meal like that for $15! Not in the last 30 years anyway. :rotfl:

bumping up for recent concierge info on the Magic

Patty and Nicole were the concierge team on the 16 May cruise. They were outstanding! We only experienced the service peripherally since we upgraded my parents room at the port (we were in a CAT 7). This was my parents first cruise and they were treated like royalty. They handled each and every request with enthusiasm. This was our 5th Disney cruise and I did not think you could top the "regular" Disney service but they proved me wrong.

This was our first experience with the concierge service and we have definitely been spoiled.

We were in a Cat 3 for our 11/1/08 cruise (upgraded at port) and we had Nicole, Andreia and Erika. Nicole was leaving the next week for her break but assured us she would be back. We tipped them all with cash and they accepted. We booked cabin 8100 for the 8/18/2010 Med cruise and are hoping our favorite concierge is back.

Yes, Nicole was from Germany. Since Patty was the lead we dealt with her almost exclusively so we did not have too much interaction with Nicole (other than the concierge guest party during the week)

we were hoping to have Richard again, but glad to hear the team is helpful We have had some that were not good at all.
