Concierge Room Request at AKL

I need some help from past concierge guests at AKL - tell me your room # if you loved it - and why you loved it. I am going to send in my final confirmation/room request e-mail this week. We would prefer a King bed, non-smoking (do they even offer smoking??), fairly close to the lounge. we have a DS 3 who will be with us, so I would prefer to not be at the end of a long hallway.

The best views of the Savanah's are on the fifth floor. Rooms closest to the lounge are on the sixth. We prefer the fifth floor but you wouldn't want ours because it was a long walk/run (following kids) and was a queen/bunk/day bed room. It had a good view of Arusha savanah though!

I would not request specific room numbers as this only leads to disappointment... but I would request a specific view (ie) Arusha Savanna... King size bed.

Also, I don't know if you know this but Savanna view is not guaranteed with Concierge rooms, as they also have poolview on the 6th floor. Having said that, I have only heard of once that someone who wanted savanna was put in poolview because the hotel was full.
