Has anyone had any experience with this one?

We are thinking of booking one concierge room and a second non-concierge room for three teens (to save a little $). Will the kids be allowed to come to the concierge lounge with us or will they have to show "concierge ID" to get snacks?

Thanks for your help!

Depends on the occupany level of the concierge room.

If your concierge room has a occupancy of 5 then you can have 5 guests use concierge.

It really would not be fair to those paying for concierge to do otherwise. If you are over your level then the only way is to get both rooms in concierge.

Would you want everyone in a non concierge room coming over to use the lounge? What is fair for one must be fair for all.

So as long as you only have 2 in the concierge room you will still be in the limit you have paid for.

we stayed at the WL concierge in december.
it was the 2 of us and my husbands mom and sister cam over nearly every night to visit and helped themselves to the concierge nothing was ever said and we also sat on the seventh floor most of the night and it was no problem

That is just what I was thinking. It would not be fair otherwise but if all five of us could stay in the concierge room it would make sense. Do all concierge rooms hold five? We would be two in our room and would like the other room to have an extra bathroom and some privacy. We could all five stay in one concierge room that holds five. My idea would actually cost more than 5 in one room but not as much as two concierge rooms--for example at the GF (regular season) a concierge room is about $140 per night more than a standard garden view room.

My question still is, "Would the three teens in the non-concierge room be allowed into the lounge with us?"

I guess another question would be if we want ps or other reservations would the concierge make them for five or only the two of us (one adult and one teen) technically in the room--one adult's name would have to be on the teen room I'm assuming.

Anyone have any experience with this?

If you are staying somewhere that 5 in a room is the limit, have their names put on your reservation for the concierge room.

You have legally paid for a full room whether your room is full or not. That way you have their names as concierge guests on the list.

They will also get ID cards which will open the door or the elevator to the concierge floor.

Where are you staying?

we had no problem they made reservations for us one night for 7 and only two of us were staying in concierge. they didnt ask, hey your giving disney your money to dine why would thye care,

I don't want to turn this into a debate about who has rights to the concierge service, but it should only be the one's who have a concierge room assigned to them. We have had my dad, who lives in Florida, over to visit while staying at the GF. It's policy to notify the concierge staff that you are having company and they can decide, based on occupancy I imagine, if it's okay.

As for Dan's question, depending on the ages of the teens, you would probably have to put your name on both rooms. I think that Disney's policy is that you have to be 18 in order to reserve a room. Where you stay might also dictate how you handle that. I believe that both the Poly and the GF have their concierge rooms in a separate building. Your teens could be assigned a room that is pretty far away from yours. We've stayed in the GF concierge with 5 (two adults, 17DD, 13DS, 7DD) and we were very comfortable, but I definitely hear you about having that second bathroom and a little privacy. I'd check out some of the other concierge resorts and just ask what their policy is on having the teens access it. They can probably give you up to the occupancy limit on your assigned room and possibly charge you an additional $25 per day for the 5th person.

We haven't decided where to stay yet. We were thinking about a short trip in June and we have never tried the concierge but from what I've been reading here it seems worth a try. Thanks for all the info. I knew that we would have to have one adult per room and I figured that the rooms might be far away at the Poly or GF. That would probably not be the case at the WL or or AKL from what I've been reading here. Last March we split our time between the CBR and the Hard Rock and the people who had concierge at the Hard Rock (much less expensive than Disney) couldn't stop raving about it. It was the talk of the hot tub! If we come in June it will be short so we will stay at Disney only and the concierge has piqued our interest. We'll see what the budget will allow!

Thanks.

One of the things that we really enjoyed about the GF concierge was it's convenience to the MK. We could leave in the middle of the afternoon when it got busy and relax in the lounge for a while before going back in. IMO it's the fact that you can access it throughout the day that makes it so worthwhile. If you're going to be spending most of your time in the parks, it may not be a good choice. The concierge service at the Universal Hotels is terrific because it is so easy to get back and forth between their 2 parks. With teenagers, I think you might want to take a second look at the resorts around Epcot too. There you would at least be close to MGM also, plus the Boardwalk is pretty cool for teens.
