Concierge or regular stateroom

I haven’t done concierge on a cruise, but I did do butler level at a Sandals resort, which I think is pretty comparable. The butlers were really nice and did some special stuff for us, some that was requested and some that wasn’t. It was nice because it was our honeymoon and in retrospect Sandals wasn’t a great fit for us. So some of the things we didn’t like about it, the butlers were able to help us out with (like dinner a 2nd dinner at a special restaurant because we didn’t like the other ones).

But anyways, from what I hear, Disney concierge is very similar to the service we received. It was great for a honeymoon experience but I probably wouldn’t bother because for me the value isn’t there. I could maybe tempted by something like NCLs Haven with the special pool and restaurant and access to special features on their private island.

I've sailed both. We sailed concierge for our honeymoon and first cruise and then also did a regular room. Overall, I don't think concierge is worth it especially if you are an experienced cruiser. It was very nice to have the 3 staff in the lounge always available to ask questions, tell us how to find places on the ship, give us champagne in our room, get nightly drinks and appetizers, have access to bottled water, have food so close to us instead of going to Cabanas etc. but really, there was no financial benefit to it because all food is included in the cruise anyway. It was just nice to have their help and assistance with reservations etc. since we were unfamiliar with everything at that point.

We have been completely spoiled by DCL concierge and will only book concierge from here on out. Yes, it's pricey, but, for us, it's been well worth it. We really like priority embarkation and disembarkation, the upgraded stateroom amenities and the lounge. The concierge staff has also, always, gone above and beyond to make sure any requests we have (cabanas, shore excursions, Remy reservations, etc.) are taken care of. They've also done some very special things for us without us asking - bringing my DS a gift when he became sick on one of our cruises, finding a private guide for us in Kirkwall when they were completely booked through the excursions desk. I've sailed in suites on other lines (and stayed CL in WDW as well) and the concierge CM's on DCL are truly amazing.
