Concierge Level. Perks???

Unlike those who stay concierge or club level for the service, sorry -- we stay for the food. It helps to have snacks and drinks available for hungry teenagers, we like having easy access to breakfast, we bring food back to the rooms which is encouraged in GF RPC by the CM's and the fact that there are trays available, we enjoy a drink and desserts in the evening, etc. The service is nice, but, IMO, the value is in the food and drink offerings, not the service. The CM's we've met club level have been great, but I end up making most of my own ADR's anyway because I won't trust anyone else to get me things like V&A Chef's Table and highly in demand Food & Wine dinners.

I agree, as the mother of two teenage boys! Its nice to have the snacks handy, although we are rarely there to enjoy them in the evening.

My upcoming stay at the Poly is much anticipated. The IPO office has been wonderful helping me out, and have even reminded me about reservations that need to be made on a timeline (like the illuminations cruise). So far, so good!:thumbsup2 My most recent stay was at the Contemporary and although it was a quick visit it too was nice. The cm's were great, and the view was amazing.

I'm sorry to disagree, but it's really not that difficult or unrealistic, especially since so much posting is done on the internet. I just spent about 3 minutes looking and I know that posters name, location, plus a few other things. If the DIS search is working, within 5 minutes, you could probably come up with the dates of his families visits. I have no idea how serious an error it was for that particular CM to sell a convention ticket, but at the very least, it could mean a verbal warning to all the current employees on that floor. As I mentioned, it's part of the reason why the DIS edits out the names of CM's. It has happened before, so people should be very careful with what details they post. I'm sure his intent was not to be harmful, but in this case, it was TMI.

Okay. Thanks for your opinion.:goodvibes

I agree with that also. It deffinately helps to have the option of letting your teens go to the lounge to get drinks and food. We normally always stay concierge for this reason. Although the extra service and attention is wonderful also! :)

I think for me it's the food that gets me to stay concierge, mainly because I like being in control of the few ADRs I do make. The exception was when I allowed them to get me one for CRT when I took my DGD in April. Just didn't want the hassle of calling, calling, calling to get in!

We too also love doing Club Level for the food offerings. There is nothing better than walking down the hall to the Old Faithful Club at the WL in the morning for a quick breakfast before heading to the park and sitting and enjoying all the wonderful sounds coming from the lobby!!! We usually do our "big" meal of the day for lunch, so the light offerings they have in the evening are more than enough to satisfy us for a light dinner. I can't wait to drink a cappacino and eat some yummy cookies in the evening after a great day at WDW!!:goodvibes

Also, we actually prefer making our own ADR's because that is one of my favorite things to do when planning out trips!! But The CL CM's have been great when we are there and need help with anything! We love the CM's at the WL and we cannot wait to be there next month!!!

We got upgraded this last trip in Sept to Poly concierge (did not even ask to get upgraded). Anywho we loved it, thougth this might be worth looking into (never have even considered it before) as all the food you get, after returning home and checking out the $$$ the hefty sometimes 700$ nite price tag.. Definately not worth it at all.. The rooms are no different and you most certainly don't get 300$ worth food a day by using the concierge.. We never used any of the services as there was always a line waiting to talk to them. IMO
