Hey everyone,

I'm planning a trip for the summer of 2012. We're WDW vets and have visited DLR once before and absolutely loved it. Last time, we had a standard room at the Grand Californian. Everything was great! For our upcoming trip, I'd like to splurge and try concierge since we don't make it to DLR too often. Between the 2 hotels, would you recommend GCH or DLH for concierge? Also, does anyone know when all of the construction will be finished at DLH? Thanks in advance for any info and opinions!

The construction at DLH should be done by 2012. I probably would do DLH simply because you can get a fantastic view of the fireworks from ther upper rooms or concierge lounge (with the music piped in). That way if you don't want to stay late in the parks every night, you can go watch them from there. Plus, I LOVE the new light up headboards and theming. :)

You can also view the fireworks from the deck of the concierge lounge at GCH with the music pipe in.

I'm sure there is going to be a big difference in price. If that is a factor I would chose Disneyland Hotel.

If not, I would chose Grand California because it's so much closer to the parks. You would be able to use the food/beverage service more often.
