Hello!

Just booked our first Disney cruise on the Wish for August 29th (family of 5)
For our own sleeping comfort, we booked connecting CONCIERGE verandah rooms.

We really are hoping to get a cabana on Castaway Cay and I'm hoping by having two rooms, it will give us a better chance.

In this situation, should I send in TWO email requests at Midnight (from the separate email on file for each room).

For all other activity/dining requests I would ask that both room reservations get combined.

Has anyone ever been in this situation before? And how did you handle it?

We are booked in connecting concierge rooms on the Treasure in June. My husband is in one room and I am in another (with a second person in each). We set up our emails to both go out at midnight. We BOTH asked for a Cabana but only I put in all of the other requests that I knew would not be as popular (tastings, excursion, late dining, etc).

When we got the notice that we did get a cabana, they actually told us that it was my email and not my husband's that did it because mine got there a little before his. lol Interestingly, we had set both of them up to go out automatically from Gmail at the same time. So it must just kind of be luck of the draw from a tech standpoint when your email gets there.

Thanks for those details. I will plan to do the same thing.
I just didn't want to be penalized for submitting two requests for cabanas since our two rooms are connecting, even though each room has a different "lead" traveler. Good to know, each room qualifies us for a entry into the cabana lottery.

Super helpful. Thank you!!

We sent 2 emails (prescheduled through gmail) when we had 2 rooms to better our chances of getting a cabana. Unfortunately, we still missed out on securing a cabana during our 130 day requests. But we did end up getting 2 of them off the waitlist about 30 days before sailing.

curious which ship?

Wish. It’s the only ship we’ve had trouble getting a cabana on when sailing in concierge. Fantasy and wonder we’ve been successful numerous times.
We only ever had trouble on the Wish as well! Two sailings. One we got a cabana, the other we did not. Every other ship (including our upcoming booking for the Treasure) we didn't have any problems.

Sailing on the Dream in May. We are in concierge and have been waitlisted for a cabana. What are the odds we will get one and if so when do they actually go to the waitlist?

There's no real odds, as it depends completely on whether anyone cancels their cabana. It does happen, though (I've not experiences this personally but know from anecdotes). They'll go to the waitlist as soon as a cabana opens. Could be before sailing, could be embarkation day, could be during the cruise. It also doesn't hurt to ask the concierge hosts when you get onboard.

Update on requesting Cabana with connecting concierge rooms:
Disney Wish, 3day, departing 08/29/25

My 130 day window opened at Midnight on 04/21/25

I had "request emails" for both rooms already prepared several days in advance.
At 11:30pm I opened two browsers on my desktop.
room # 1: Firefox to send from my Yahoo email for the 1st room.
room #2: Chrome to send from my Gmail email for the 2nd room.

I made all my dining/reservation requests in email #1 (mentioning that both rooms were combined in these requests)

I requested a family beach CABANA in BOTH emails.

I used time.gov from another browser window to keep track of time, and clicked send at 12:00:02am for email # 1
Then I quickly sent email # 2 at 12:00:04am

Received email back from shoreside immediately that they received my requests.
The next day I received another email from shoreside that they received both emails, and since email #1 was received first, they would use that one for my Cabana request and they would disregard email # 2.

This morning 04/28/25 at 12:00am I was able to login to the DCL website and see which requests were fulfilled.
When I looked at my plans it showed that I was able to get Cabana # 14 for Castaway Cay day!!
So the email I sent from Yahoo mail at 12:00:02am was early enough to get a cabana.

When I logged in at 12am this morning it showed all family beach cabanas were gone, but there were two available Adult/Serenity Bay cabanas available to book. Not sure how long they lasted. Makes me think it's a little bit strange that Disney is building new Serenity Bay cabanas, but the family beach cabanas are the ones that are in far more demand.
