Any idea when it will all be done? Thinking about staying there sept 2014

It's a gradual rehab, completed a few rooms at a time, you won't even notice it's happening. Teena reported that all work is done during the day and if you are next door and it disturbs you they will switch your room. If you want to stay in a rehabbed room the higher the floor, the higher the likelihood that it will be done, as they are starting with CL rooms. :goodvibes:

Ok, I have another question. We are traveling with a 15 month old, we have a friend that lives in the Orlando area and were planning to ask her teenage daughter to come babysit on Sunday evening so the adults can have an evening in the MK without dragging a sleeping baby, can we do this?

I know Disney has their own in room sitters, but we would rather utilize someone we know and it would save them some money as well.

One likely option you may have, if you wish, is simply to add her to your room reservation. If you meet the criteria below, adding her will be free.

Regular rooms sleep four people. Children under two don't count towards that total. WL regular rooms hold up to two adults plus two children over age two, plus one child under two- for no additional charge. (three adults= + $27 per night)

If you have a package (room + tickets), adding her now will cost extra, because you'd have to add her to your full package. However, once you are at WL, you can add her as just a room guest. (no ticket) You can even list her as a guest for just the one night- even if she isn't technically staying overnight.

Hope that makes sense.

Curious....did age requirements change? I thought one child under age 3 didn't count towards the room max.

We wouldn't be able to add her, we have 4 adults and a child under 3 in the room already. We do have a room only with military discount.

It's $25 per night per adult over 2.

At Beach Club now and wanted to update on the bottled water debate I started: We checked in Wed night and they were out of bottled water and didn't get any in until mid day Thursday. Now that they have some, it seems like they are rationing it. I asked for three (for me and my kids) and the girl said I can give you one or two. So whatever, I ask for a couple when I go there and I also went and picked up a case at 7-11. All I drink is water though, so I don't feel bad to keep asking for it.
On another note, we were there for evening snacks and I was upset to learn that none of the items were labeled. I have a seafood allergy and had to hunt down someone to tell me what each item contained. Something wrapped that looked delicious had crab in it so I am glad I asked. Since it seems like they put out similar items every night I really think things should be clearly labeled.
Also, at 7pm, the end of evening snack time, they take everything that is left and throw it away. So to the people afraid of taking too much, I would take it because chances are it will get tossed. It would make more sense to me if they just stopped making more food at 630 and then left it out until it was mostly gone say around 730. Yesterday they brought out a fresh tray of appetizers at 6:45 only to throw it away at 7.
Overall though, I love the convenience factor. I love the kids having somewhere other than my bed to eat cereal. No more crumbs and spilled milk in our room. We are right down the hallway so a couple of us can go to the lounge if everyone else wants quiet. My husband is in love with the COOL factor and has decided he is never staying non cl again.

I dont recall ever seeing plastic bottle water at Poly CL, but f we want water they always gave us big glass bottles of Evian now my understanding they give you a sealed decanter of filtered water which is fine by me. My understanding that they are doing away with the plastic bottles b/c there is a LOT of waste..

We did BC last fall for our first time doing CL and loved it and the resort, but me and my DH do prefer the MK area. We are either going to do WL or Contemporary club level. We love both of these resorts, my DHs 'fav is WL, we've stayed there twice is woods and CY view, my fav is CR, I just LUV that big old toaster of a hotel and the convenience of the monorail to the elevator to your room. My ? is the actual club level in both resorts. I do like being on the same floor as the club itself for convenient access if anyone can speak to that at either resort. BC club was nice but kinda small. Which has a better spread of food, size,views...ect....It's just me and my DH. We have always done all our Disney trips in the late fall, this time we want to try March or early April to experience the Flower show and just something different. I really want to go when the 7 Dwarves mine ride will be open. Any new info. on that? Thanks so much.....Mary in MI (Travelgoddess)

I don't see any problem with your friend's daughter babysitting in your room. The only issue is that she won't have a key to get back into the room if she leaves it. You can add her as a day guest so she can get a room key. The CL concierge can easily do that for you. She can also go to the lounge as your guest.

We've never stayed at the CR, but WL CL is amazing. The food offerings are great, the lounge has plenty of seating that is arranged around the railing overlooking the lobby, and the CL CMs are awesome :thumbsup2. With that said, we are trying CR CL in December and I have read a lot of great reviews lately. Since you have stayed at the WL and already know what a great resort it is, adding CL would make it that much better, IMO :goodvibes. Good luck deciding, but I don't think you can go wrong with either one (especially since you've stayed at and like both resorts).

Hi Maxie

Hello!! I was just wondering if any is familiar with the Deluxe Concierge level rooms @ the WL? We were going to stay @ the BC Concierge, but last min. my husband really wanted more space because we have two teenagers. It just seemed like it was the best option for us because it has a separate living space with another TV even though there's only one bathroom.
We've never stayed WL at all, so any advice or suggestions is welcome! Can anyone tell me how the transportation is there? We're used to walking to Epcot (hoping my pain pump is going to be adjusted so no scooter)

Just booked theme park view CL at Poly based on everyone's great reviews - now I see volcano pool is under renovations 9-20 Sep. Our trip is 25 Sep-1 Oct. What are chances pool project will be completed on time? Or should we switch to BC CL? ( We were at BC in July - loved the pool - wanted to do Poly with fireworks and 2nd best pool - splurging with CL this trip no matter where ) :confused3

Hi! We answered you back on the Poly board that the rehab for the volcano pool has been pushed to Jan. Tikiman reported it, I called disney recreation and spoke to a manager at Poly itself to confirm since Ill be there 9/7-9/15 and have a cabana rented..:thumbsup2

Hello! DH and I are booked for YC GV CL in October. Through all of the free dining/room only discount madness, I've seen the Garden Cottage CL rooms at Boardwalk open up - for the same price I've already paid. Has anyone stayed at both? Never done CL before, but have stayed SV at both resorts. What's the good, bad and ugly?
Thanks!

What discount code did you see it under? The FD or RO? I looked at it with the FD code & it was a few hundred dollars more than my Deluxe WL booked & more than my GV BC CL.. It looks absolutely beautiful & the 2 bathrooms would be great! Except it only sleeps 4 & I have 2 teenagers-a son & a daughter who definitely wouldn't want to share a pull out sofa-lol!
Although yesterday when I called to modify my reservation-I added the FD to my BC ressie-& then I asked about WL Deluxe..I really didn't think it was included under FD because I checked the website (@ 4am when everything was already loaded) & it showed up under a full price ressie, but not w. FD. I asked my CM & I was SO excited to hear that it was!!

Just curious why you think that GF RPC is $1000 more then Poly GV CL. Is RPC that much "better" then Poly CL?

It's b/c it's in the main building.. You'll hear the orchestra playing & all it is very nice.. I wouldn't say better.. It depends on your preference.. Both Poly & GF CL are my two favorite

We haven't stayed in a deluxe room, but have stayed at the WL twice with one of those stays being CL and IMO, CL is amazing. The food offerings are great, the lounge is nice in that it overlooks the lobby, and the CL CMs are awesome :thumbsup2. I don't know too much about the deluxe rooms as we've never stayed in one, but I do know they are not located on the CL floor. I'm not sure which floor(s) they are on, but you will be on a different floor from the lounge. As far as transportation, in our experience, the buses were always quick and efficient as was the boat to/from MK and CR :goodvibes.

As the pp said, RPC is in the main building, which is also where you catch the monorail. The GF is also Disney's flagship resort. We have never stayed Poly CL so I can't compare the two, but as the pp said, I don't think it's a matter of RPC being better, but rather preferred to some people ;).

Thank you!! Sounds great! I'll have to research further where the deluxe rooms are, but that's no problem, we don't live in the CL, we just make occas. visits & I have teenagers! Lol
The transportation thing I was worried about, but now I feel better! Thx!!!
