Concierge/Club Level Information - Part III (October 2010)

On my most recent Club Level stay at the Boardwalk Inn I remember there was one morning when my family and I were having breakfast. Well one of the Club Level Cast Members was speaking to this mother that had a daugther who looked to be 3 or 4 years old. Anyway the mother was asked where she was from and said Toronto, well the Cast Member pointed to us and said that's where we were from. Now I don't think this guest heard that part because she mentioned that originally she was from Vancouver and only lived in Toronto for work reasons, but hated it since she thought the people were rude and hates living there. I will say my family and I didn't say anything to this woman but I have to admit it was not great hearing someone talk bad about the city we live in. Thankfully she mentioned that they were checking out and we didn't see them anymore, so I just wanted to get that off my chest.

I constantly hear negative things about my city--have "gotten into it" many times on the dis community board, as well. I live here, they don't--so just shrug it off and ignore it.

All that matters is if YOU love your city, 'cause you sure can't convince the naysayers anyway.

I wish you had had a chance to talk to them some more. I spent a night talking to them a bit and they were actually really nice. I think they were just having a hard time adjusting from moving from Vancouver to Toronto. I'm sorry they said those not so nice things about Toronto but I think they may have felt that way about any city with their longing to be back in Vancouver. The woman's Mom was also with them and this was her first trip since loosing her husband so it was a bit of a rough time for them.

I wish you had had a chance to talk to them some more. I spent a night talking to them a bit and they were actually really nice. Well until that morning I don't remember seeing them before in the lounge. Now the only thing what upset is how they made the negative comment about Toronto after one of the Cast Members mentioned we were also from there. So that's why I have no idea if she didn't hear that or just didn't care.

If you get offended by someone saying something bad about your city. I think you have pretty thin skin. I don't know how people go through life being offended all the time by what other people say. You just have to blow it off. Just because someone says something that you percieve as "offensive" is no reason to avoid them or pass judgement.

Do any of you do the online checkin? Since I am staying CL this time I am kind of unsure whether I should do it or not
Is it really necessary? Will it just help them know what time I'm coming, I would imagine they already know this and have everything waiting for me.

We have never used online check-in when staying Club Level because each time we have always been able to check-in right inside the lounge.

No problem and looking at our tickers it seems that we will be at the BWI around the same time, so maybe I will see you in the lounge.

We'll be the big group--we're doing a family reunion. Although, my aunt and uncle aren't quite such early risers as the rest of us so we're more likely to be the big group from 5-7 than the big group at breakfast

After much deliberation we decided to upgrade from CR MK View to Atrium Club Level. This is our first trip to WDW and I am so hoing all goes well. Many thanks to WDWKOOK for all the wonderful advice and helping with my questions and special situation.....huggies to you

Congratulations! We just got back and had a fabulous time!!! The CMs were amazing and very helpful. It was worth every penny!

We stayed MK View Atrium Club last month and it was amazing. We got a room 2 doors from the lounge and on the other side from Chef Mickey's. The view was amazing and the CM were so sweet. My kids feel in love with them. You will have a great time!

We stayed in MK View Atrium Club last month as well, and I want to second the comment about the CMs. They were awesome with our kids (and helpful for the adults as well). Our daughter was so excited to show off to two of them in particular some new clothes because she loved them so much. And, more importantly, they seemed to be paying the same level of attention to all of the guests, not just us. That's what really enhanced the concierge level experience for us: having consistent interactions with a small group of great CMs.

It's great to read the positive reviews. We love the CR, but last August when I went w/o DH, I wasn't very impressed with the Atrium Club. DH would love to stay again at the CR and try their CL, but I'm worried about him not liking it. But, it sounds like they're doing a better job now?

Was the food replenished up until closing time?

Was the lounge neat and tidy and were tables being cleaned and cleared?

Did there seem to be enough lounge staff? Did you ever see a CL manager in the lounge or walking around talking to guests?

Were they allowing guests to go into the lounge without shoes? Were adult guests wearing PJs into the lounge?

I suppose you can tell from my questions what issues I had there

We just returned from a wonderful stay at the Tower club. I can say that the food was always replenished and the CMs were amazing as always. There were no problems with other guest's attire, though honestly when we vacation we're more concerned with enjoying ourselves than checking out what others may or may not be wearing.

The tables were constantly being cleared by the CMs. As a matter of fact we were told that there had been a change in policy and CMs were to clear dishes away immediately. There will no longer be a tray for dirty dishes. They do not want guest to be clearing their own plates. Made us a bit uncomfortable truthfully. Everything was neat and clean and was constantly being "tidied" up.

The lounge was well staffed our entire visit and as I said earlier the CMs were fantastic as always. Lori the manager was up there quite a bit circulating. All in all it was another terrific stay.

Just to clarify, when you say that you stayed at the Tower Club, are you speaking of the Tower Club on the 14th floor or the Atrium Club on the 12th? I thought the 14th floor was closed until at least November for refurbishment?

No, we stayed on the 14th floor, the Tower Club. It seems the rumors of it closing were incorrect. Originally we had been relocated to the GF RPC but were then notified that the Tower Club would be open during our stay. The CR and their club levels are our favorite so we immediately had them switch us back. As far as I know all of the remodeling plans have been put off until 2012.

Just to clarify, when you say that you stayed at the Tower Club, are you speaking of the Tower Club on the 14th floor or the Atrium Club on the 12th? I thought the 14th floor was closed until at least November for refurbishment?
