Does anyone have any idea if the CL rooms at the YC are bigger than the reg rooms? We have stayed at the YC many times in a standard room but never in a CL room. TIA
Yes, thanks for mentioning this. The BC is the only Deluxe/CL room that doesn't have the extra TV. The BC Deluxe room is larger than a regular room at 533 sq. ft. Vs. 380 sq. ft. and it has a marble foyer. There is a small alcove with a daybed and coffee table, but not an extra chair and TV. They are located on floors 1-4, with CL being on the 5th floor.A deluxe room at BC does not have an extra TV, a sofa or a chair. It does have more space, generally, than a regular room, but is furnished identically to a regular room. The bathroom is the same size and style as well. The BC deluxe room comes with Club Level service, but the rooms are not on the CL floor.
Personally, I make the changes myself. It's quick and the "My Disney Vacation" itinerary updates instantly, whereas the IPO's itinerary has to be revised by the CM.Will be staying AKL CL in December. The IPO got all my ADRs for me.
If you needed an additional ADR, or wanted to change an ADR, would you contact the IPO Staff or would you do it yourself? And if you do it yourself, would you contact the IPO Staff and let them know?
The reason for asking: I checked on the availability of a restaurant and two times showed up--5:15pm and 6:25pm. I contacted the IPO and made my request for 6-6:30pm. I then received a confirmation for 5:15pm.
So, is it proper to make changes to your original itinerary instead of asking them? And, if you do, should you tell them? I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. I just think it's less work for them.
I didn't have any of these problems on our last CL stay.

Wow after reading this I am even more happy we didn't reserve their Deluxe Room. The main reason we choose their Lagoon View - Club Level room was to be on the same floor was the lounge, however I had assumed that they had a second TV like the Deluxe Rooms at the Boardwalk Inn and that's one thing we liked about it. So I would have been saying where is the other TV when walking into that room if we had reserved it.WDWKOOK said:Yes, thanks for mentioning this. I'm glad you're pleased with your booking. I know being on the CL floor is important to your parents. As I see it though, that's really the only possible disadvantage of the BC Deluxe room (for some) because it's actually less expensive than a regular/LV-CL room but, it's 153 sq. ft. larger and doesn't have a connecting door and some have double balconies.Wow after reading this I am even more happy we didn't reserve their Deluxe Room. The cost of their Deluxe Room is what got our attention because we had thought it would be around the cost we are paying for the Deluxe Room had the Boardwalk Inn. However when we saw they are located between the 1st - 4th floors we then said it's better to spend a little more and go with their Standard Room on the 5th floor.I'm glad you're pleased with your booking. Well, I still hope you get the fourth (CL) floor. But as you pointed out, if you get the third floor, you'll have a bigger balcony which is nice and you're just one flight of stairs away from the lounge. The cost of their Deluxe Room is what got our attention because we had thought it would be around the cost we are paying for the Deluxe Room had the Boardwalk Inn. The funny thing is at the Boardwalk Inn we might get a Deluxe Room on the 3rd floor and have to walk up the stairs to the 4th floor when going to the lounge. However the good thing is we had a Deluxe Room on the 3rd floor in August 2010 so we know how it works. Plus the one advantage is we get a bigger balcony compared to the Deluxe Rooms on the 4th floor. We requested a 4th floor room when making the reservations and with the IPO, however if we don't get it we won't be disappointed.
Thank you and I am wondering did you make any room requests for your Club Level stay at the Polynesian?Well, I still hope you get the fourth (CL) floor. I just answered you on the CL photo threadHi - I posted this on a different thread and realized it should have gone here.
We're staying BCR CL in September. First CL stay for us and we can't wait. I'm very excited about the evening cordials but I have no idea what to do with them. I'm not very experienced at mixing drinks - I usually have wine. I know you can put Bailey's in coffee but I can't drink coffee at night or I won't sleep. Do you drink most of those just over ice or do they have things to mix with them? Thanks!
It's great knowing we'll be in the Hawaii bldg. so I don't have to worry about that. I requested "3rd floor" (not so much because of the balcony, but because we wouldn't have any noise above us.) and "no connecting door" (again, so we don't have as much noise from guests next door.)Thank you and I am wondering did you make any room requests for your Club Level stay at the Polynesian?
We didn't make any room requests for the Beach Club, because staying on the 5th floor was all we wanted and since we are only there for a couple of nights we didn't think it was important. It's great knowing we'll be in the Hawaii bldg. so I don't have to worry about that. Did you make a BC request?
I stayed AKL CL last year and had tons of trouble getting a LeCellier reservation. So the IPO told me to feel free to check as often as I wanted to and they would keep checking. They just said they'd add any ADR I got to my itinerary, and they did. I don't think they mind. They are there for your convenience, but they don't mind if you make plans on your own. Just be sure to tell them so you get it on your pretty itinerary when you check in.Will be staying AKL CL in December. The IPO got all my ADRs for me.

I hope you have a great time and I would say you made a great decision. So, after days of debating it, I called and upgraded to the 12th floor Atrium Club at the Contemporary. I'm still a little nervous about how much I'm spending but I'm very excited about the decision to stay there. We've got 2 young kids and not doing dining planso these were my main reasons for changing to club:
Having the extra lounge space will be nice; eating breakfast there before rope drop everyday as I didn't want to spend am time in a restaurant; using the lounge during younger kids nap time; watching wishes every night since it's January and could be cold and our kids need to go to bed early and not be out in the parks; kids renting dvds for nap/night time; and the wine, beer and dessert!
Thanks to everyone on this thread and all the boards for answering my million questions about every resort and club level and making me feel confident that I"m making a good decision! Now I just need to wait 7 more months to go!
CM on phone wasn't that nice so I didn't ask him too many questions about how/when Club person will contact me about ADRs. I'm sure there are threads here on this so need to see if I contact them or if they contact me.
We didn't make any ADR's when sending in that same letter, however we did put down some requests we have on there. So I would say it's good idea sending an e-mail to the IPO department of your resort if you have requests and etc.First time CL stay, newbie questions. We are staying CL in a deluxe room(family of 6) in December for 4 nights. We are doing quick serve dining, so no ADR's this trip. I got a form letter a month ago but most of it was blank when I returned it. Should I email a small intro and any room request I have when it gets closer to the date?
