I started to look at CRResortLovers photo thread, but that was when I got the brilliant idea of posting here!!! So I will continue to look and let you know what I find.

Would love to link to your photos RachelTori if you decide to post them here.

I have no problem with you using any of the pictures on this thread. I'm sure WDWKOOK will post soon with the OK too! :)

I will definitely post pics here when I return, which you of course may use! :goodvibes

Of course I don't mind.

I realized after we checked-out of the Regatta Club to go to the CR's Atrium Club, that I didn't take any photos of the food and beverage service areas. But, at least I did take them at the CR and will post those soon.

Thanks, again!!! And for the good wishes about my trip. The rest of my family thinks it is wrong of me to have a ticker for a non-Disney trip on these boards!

Just received my "arrival" email from Poly CL - so excited, only 6 more days :cool1:

Got the suitcases out of the attic yesterday - just need to get through the week at work!

So me and the DS are looking to stay at a delx for our halloween trip and I am going all out and flipping for the CL. We usually stay at POP so our familiarity with Delx and CL our slim to none. I would love to stay at all of them but thats not going to happen, so of the CL at the Delx wich one would you experts say Is better. So I just began reading this thread so excuuse me for asking such a dumb question, but any held would be great.

There's no easy answer to your question. Depends on your budget, which park(s) you want the most convenience to, your interests. Does your DS love animals? (AKL); swimming? (BC/YC); the Boardwalk? (BWI) Hawaii? (Poly). Do you want easy access to Epcot & Studios (BC/YC, BWI) or is the monorail and MK (CR, GF, Poly) more important? Want to be near Animal Kingdom? (AKL)

Please provide some information and then I'm sure you'll get lots of opinions and advice! :thumbsup2

Hmm..I'm curious about YC CL too. If anyone has or finds recent photos please share. :flower3:

I wish I could check the AP site right now. Unfortunately we won't be renewing our passes until we get down there. I hope there is YC CL at a good discount for Dec. by that time. Anyone know if YC CL is on the AP discount list in Dec.? Considering that or maybe even GF but not sure I can splurge for GF.

RachaelTori hit the nail on the head. It's the approach we take as well. I've stayed deluxe cl at gf, poly, wl, contemporary, and bw. that's also the order in which i like them although i go back and forth between gf and poly depending on the type of vacation/group i'm traveling with. we tend to spend more time at mk than anywhere else.

I just want to say how impressed I am with the GF IPO. We're going to be there for the holidays (12/21-12/26 and then returning for 12/30-1/1). I emailed a few weeks ago with a request for the Candlelight Processional and received an email back that they needed my credit card number (I knew they would but was hoping they'd have it in their files from our trip earlier this month--alas it was deleted as soon as we checked out).

Anyway, I received the email from them the morning after my email. Later that same day--before I had a chance to call--I got a call from the Contemporary (I know the GF and CR share their IPO staff) to make sure that I got the email because they were concerned and wanted to be sure that they could book the CP on the right night.

Then just today, I got another call verifying the request for the CP. The CM said they were just getting all the CP requests ready because they wanted to make sure they were able to get them for all their guests. And she told me they'd email me sometime Thursday.

Wow! They've called me twice to make sure that they have everything correct and ready to go. The problem is this CL stuff becomes addictive...it's hard to not have it now.

To narrow It down to where we would be spending the most time, well we spend the most time between MK ansd Epcot,so I guess I would chose one thats on the moniral line. But I guess I was trying to ask of the resorts CL wich one would be better. It would not be a must to stay on the monrail line, if maybe the cl at diffrent resort might be better. To what we like, thats a good question??. We like to spend a good part of our time at the parks:cool1:, but now my DS Is older we tend to spend now more time at the resort. I am trying to convince my DS of makeing pool time:worship:,I love to play golf and I make It a point to play two rounds a trip. The DS going to be 18:scared1:, so sleep time and the Internet:surfweb: come hand In hand with the mouse,Mickey of course!:goodvibes. I am leaning torads CR, but It seems like It does not have that Disney feel, thats very! very Importain to us thats one of the reason we love POP.

To those who say that the CR doesn't have "that Disney feel", I have to point out that:

The CR is THE original WDW hotel; it was built when WDW opened in 1971.

It is the only resort with a walkway right to the MK - the original WDW Park.

It has Chef Mickey's which is one of the most popular Disney character meals at WDW.

The main pool is shaped like Mickey ears.

The day bed covers have hidden Mickeys all over them as well as other hidden (and not so hidden) Mickey touches all over the resort.

There are two wonderful Mickey "sculptures" in the back of the resort near the pool/marina:

And, by golly, the monorail runs right through the resort:

I have only been to CR CL once in Dec 2006 but found the CL service there to be VERY good!:thumbsup2

CR also has cabanas you can rent at the pool that look really nice!

Hi everyone I am back well not home yet as I am choosing to write my Contemporary and Boardwalk reviews from a Hampton Inn I am staying at in Dalton, Georgia and tomorrow night I am staying in Lima, Ohio before getting home on Friday.

Contemporary
Just like our previous stays this trip was another outstanding stay at the Contemporary. As we drove up to the main entrance Janet was waiting for us and welcomed us home, it was like we had never left. She then went to get our room keys and etc from the online check-in desk because we were told everything was ready and the weird is we had not done online check-in. Anyway this time on the Atrium Club floor we were staying in room #4808 which was right over the Contempo Cafe and close to Chef Mickey's, however there was no issues with any noise coming from there. I was also pleased to see that the Atrium Club lounge has added a fridge to keep all their drinks stocked in until 10:00 PM, plus at 5:00 PM when they put out the Beer it's also left in the fridge until 10:00 PNM. So no more having to ask for it after 7:00 PM like in the past. Besides all of that we had no problems and all the Cast Members we meet there were great.

Boardwalk
Now for those wondering how my very 1st stay at the Boardwalk is I have one word to sum it all up, spectacular. From the moment we arrived it was great. Just after checked into room #3229 Jennifer from the Innkeeper's Club arrived with our folder of information and we did the check-in right in our room. After that it was time to visit the lounge where we meet JJ who happens to be a fellow Canadian from Montreal and he was simply amazing. One night we were speaking to him about their Presidental Suite and as a surprise he gave us a tour of it because it happened to be empty and words can not describe how beautiful it was. As for our room we loved it from the moment we walked in and the view of the Boardwalk was great to have and for the record our room was right over the Boardwalk Bakery. Besides that all the reports off all the other Innkeeper's Club Cast Members being among the best is all true. Basically the Boardwalk was much better then we expected and has become my #2 favorite resort behind the Contemporary, although part of me has it tied for 1st.

Theme Parks
I went 3 times to the Magic Kingdom, 2 times to Epcot, 2 times to Hollywood Studios and 1 time to the Animal Kingdom. For most of those days I went when they had AM Extra Magic Hour and that hour sure does pay off for those who take advantage of it.

Restaurants
Besides going 3 times to Earl of Sandwich I also tried two new restaurants for the very 1st time. At the Magic Kingdom myself and 3 of my friends from Orlando went to Tony's Town Sqaure and this past Saturday my family and I went to Beaches & Cream at the Beach Club.

My next vacation to WDW
Finally during our time at WDW we took advantage of a Bounceback offer for December 2010 and once again we will be back at the Boardwalk in a Standard - Club Level room. We tried to get a Club Level rate at the Contemporary but no matter what combination of dates we saw it was sold out. So we took a Tower - Bay Lake View. We then switched to a Garden Suite at the Boardwalk, however after seeing them we didn't really like them and that's how we ended up with their Standard - Club Level room.

I also have 62 pictures to upload from my camera and others from my BlackBerry, so sometime this Friday after unpacking and etc I promise to upload them for you all to see.

Thanks for checking in with us, CR Resort Fan!! :thumbsup2

Glad to hear you enjoyed BWI (you already knew you'd enjoy CR!! ;))

When in December will you be back?

Have a great night in Georgia and safe travels home. We'll look forward to some pictures!

So glad you enjoyed your BWI stay! I saw you and your parents in the lounge, but I did not want to bother you. I really like JJ too. I think all the CMs there are wonderful. I am glad you booked a standard CL room,I am not fond of the garden suites either. I will be back in just 1 more month. Even though we enjoyed the yC, I did miss the BW!! Have a safe trip home.
