These are handicap accecessible rooms that's why they don't have tubs and have king size beds. I think

Thank-you!

Do all club level rooms at the Wilderness Lodge have a partial view balcony?

No, I just read the 1st few posts on the WL thread and the rooms with partial views are listed but I cannot remember the numbers.

Thank you so much Rachel for all the information and pictures. The offerngs look very nice. We are starting to get excited. :lovestruc

Hello fellow CL Aficionados!
After a hiatus, I'm back on the DIS dreaming about returning to WDW for what may be our 2nd annual pre-xmas trip. We were at AKL CL in Jan 2009 then WL CL Dec 2009. I'm now trying to choose between Boardwalk, Beach or Yacht clubs. Been reading some positive things about BWI lately but don't know much about any of these choices. I do think it will be a fun change of pace location-wise. Our family of 4 includes husband who appreciates some room and privacy if possible and 2 children, 11 and 7 who are reaching the point where they can't share a bed. Any thoughts about our best options? Any other input on these resorts would be appreciated!

Hi Karen! :wave2: Remember me? We were at the AKL CL in Jan 09 at the same time. Too bad we didn't actually meet, but I wanted to say hi anyway!

I can't help you with your decision about where to stay, as I have never stayed at the Epcot resorts. Sorry.

I just wanted to stop by this thread and say :cool1::cool1:. We are going to The Grand Floridian RPC in 2 days!!! I can not wait!! :dance3: I am going to try to do a live report (if time allows), but I will be sure to give a full report when I get back. Anyone have anything they want me to check on while I'm there, just let me know. I'll do my best to get answers for you! :goodvibes

Hmmm. I just got a PIN code. Decisions, decisions. We're already booked at the Poly for a mid-late SEPTember stay. The code doesn't say it excludes concierge level rooms so I think I'll call to get a price/see if it's even possible tomorrow.

That being said, I noticed from the Poly FAQ it says that Club Level guests can request a jogging stroller on a first come, first serve basis. Has anyone done this? More importantly, has anyone done this and *NOT* been able to get one? I'd love to not have to bring her stroller all the way down there if possible but would loathe the idea of not being able to get one while we're there.

If the offer does apply to CL rooms, I'm still torn as to whether the additional $400 to upgrade would be worth it. Arrrrrrgh. And here I thought I had everything sorted out!

If you could upgrade from a standard room to a CL for $400 on a 4 night stay, would you?

Hi Missoutandabout, love your user name :goodvibes

In a word YES :thumbsup2 For $100 more a night at Christmas time I would certainly go for it.

I have stayed at the Poly several times in both CL and standard rooms. We love the resort, rooms are large, beds are comfortable and the redo is very nice. Our last visit was November 06, we stayed CL. It was wonderful! I had gotten a pin code and managed to get a large discount. It was very much worth it on that trip. Our family was surpising my DH and all showing up there for a week together. We all managed to keep it a secret for over 8 months. The IPO CM's were FANTASTIC at helping me plan the whole trip. The CL CM's are friendly and very helpful. The food was excellent and the variety pleased everyone in our family. I don't think you would regret it at all expecially at Christmas.

Good luck tomorrow!

Thanks for the reply and vote of confidence. :goodvibes

Oh my -- how I do wish it were a December trip! That was a major typo I had; I'd meant to put down September. Wishful thinking on my part, perhaps?

I would and did...shhhh, don't tell my DH or DS, it is a surprise....

Now that's a SWEET surprise! :D

Definitely! Love the Poly Lounge.

They had Sprite out but not Sprite Zero- call ahead and tell them that's your drink of choice and I bet they'll have some for you! Good luck and have a great time. I would love to try the contemporary sometime.

Do you think if I requested Barqs root beer (owned by Coke) I could get some?

Do club guests have access to the lounge the entire day of checkout? Or do you have to turn in your key at 11 am?

You will have access to the lounge until midnight the day you check-out. However, most lounges close at 10;)

me too. Surprising DH, DS, & DD in 23 days. Kids think we are staying at POP and we are actually staying BC CL. :cool1:

I did this in July...I told the kids that we were staying at POP and we really were at GF SL...then to MY surprise we got upgraded to a suite at RPC:goodvibes surprises for everyone!

RachelTori- This is a GREAT thread. I see that you updated the link to the new Yacht & Beach Club FAQ thread. Thanks!

I have a link to my photos of the BC CL, but I haven't found recent photos of the YC CL. I just went backwards through about 30-40 pages of the this thread and didn't see any.

Do you happen to know if there are YC lounge photos here? I would love to link to the pages. I would attempt to notify the original poster and get their permission/credit their contribution.

Thanks!

Dee

Hey Dee! I don't believe there are any YC Lounge pictures on here; at least nothing current. Have you checked CR Resort Fan's CL Photo thread?

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1944096

Hopefully you'll find some recent pictures sooner than this, but I'm staying YC CL in about 6 weeks and will be happy to take many pictures which you can certainly use. :goodvibes
