Concierge/Club Level Information - Part II (Sept 2009)

Today is my 90 day mark and I am having IPO handle our ADRs (first time I've given up control so a little for me). When I called in my cc info the CM mentioned that it might be a couple of days before I get my itinerary because tomorrow is going to be so busy for them. I'm really anxious to see how they did because if for some reason they couldn't get something, I want to try myself to get an alternative before the rush tomorrow.

Do you think it would be pushy of me to send them an email and say that I understand I'll be getting an itinerary in a couple of days but in the meantime can they let me know if there was anything they weren't able to secure? I don't want to be a pest...

What IPO? I just talked to Don from AKL IPO and he said they were all prepared for tomorrow. They were getting there early with enough people and they had no doubts that the day would go fine.

I find that odd that they told you that it would take that long to email an itinerary to you.

GF. I haven't heard anything yet, hopefully soon so if there's any reworking that needs to be done I can just call myself today.

We have stayed AKL CL before but with all that I was hearing on the boards about them cutting back on food offerings etc I did send them a little email about our upcoming trip in January.

I wasn't thrilled with the response back. It wasn't my favorite, Don, and in fact I had never spoken with this guy before. He didn't even offer their services for ADR's. Basically he said we have a lounge open from 6-10 and if you want a safari, let us know.

Can anyone give me opinions/food offerings at the YC CL? We are considering staying CL and it is also the first time at a deluxe resort...

Iluvpluto27: Your pictures are making me hungry. We're there Nov 15-23, feeling better about the huge splurge for us.

I've booked AKL CL for spring break but somewhat concerned about reports of the food being cut back. Anyone know if the food is now less than BWI? Wouldn't it seem all the hotels would have similar offerings, although different themes to match the hotel personality?

Congrats! It's hit-or-miss as to whether or not they'll contact you first. You should probably take the initiative and send them an email - list confirmation # and dates in the title. The information you need to email or call them is in the 1st post of this thread.

I echo this statement wholeheartedly. I never had any contact from them when we were booked at BC. Now that I'm within 30 days, I heard from the WL over the weekend and have since had a couple of conversations with a delightful lady there who was able to manipulate her computer for me today and change around a few ADRs.

OK -- right after I posted I received an email with all my ADRs from the IPO office -- they got us everything we asked for. AKL IPO is simply amazing!!!

Good to hear you just got your e-mail. We are going to the CR CL in March and I am anxiously awaiting our e-mail. I know they got my e-mail with our wish list, so now I am just waiting to see that they booked for us. It is hard to not constantly check the e-mail.

I hope I get my e-mail as soon as I'm done posting this.

All our ADRs were within 5 mins of our request time, which to me means that it's an A+++ job that they did.

Well, it sure worked for me!

I hope you get it all. They probably spent the whole day working on all the requests, so I guess it will take them a while to get it all sent out to everyone in emails.

I called the IPO office last night as I hadn't heard back from them regarding our reservations for our trip starting February 8th. The gentleman I spoke to said that there were no emails going out yesterday at all as they were just too busy but they should be out in a day or two.

He did however check our reservation number and all of our dining reservations plus our BBB reservation have been made!!!!

When I spoke with Brittany with the WL/Poly IPO yesterday she said that their computers were being very slow and cranky, sort of like the type something, stand on one foot and pray thing. She was able to pull up my ADRs, go over them with me and tweak some times. She said that she would send out an email with my updated itinerary but that that system had it's own problems going on. It did arrive within about 30 minutes, so I suggest if you don't hear back today call and check. Good luck everyone!

Most of my ADRs are easy ones, so I'm not too worried, I just want to get excited when the e-mail comes.

Me too! Not glad to hear others havent received their confirmantions but I am glad to hear I am not the only one!

I got all my ressies done by the Poly IPO for my April trip and had an email at 3:30pm on the 27th listing them. They got me everything I wanted and pretty close to the times I wanted as well. The only one wrong was a CRT lunch, apparently they had some issue with CRT not being loaded into the system on the 27th, so they made me a lunch ressie at Crystal Palace instead. I simply called up the dining reservation line yesterday morning first thing, and requested the date/time for CRT with no problem, the issue must have been resolved, and then cancelled the Crystal Palace ressie, so I am all set now. I even got the wildlife excursion at AK reserved that I wanted. All in all out of the 10+ reservations I had the IPO make they got them all for me except for one that was beyond their control and I had no problem fixing that myself. You don't know how nervous I was letting them do this since I have always done this stuff myself (sort of a control freak, but I love planning this stuff lol) and was pretty woried that all my planning would be out the window if they didn't get what I wanted. But I can honestly say the next time we let IPO do this I will be pretty relaxed as a result of this pleasant experience.
