Decisions, decisions.......

Would like to get the Disney Visa 40% discount on our reservation for January. It is available on a standard Atrium Club room or a tower MK view room without concierge. We have booked the MK view Atrium Club for which the code is not available. Ahhhhhh!!! What to do? What to do??

Well, we gave up our concierge a the Contemporary. This is our friends' first timem staying at the Contemporary and we decided it would mean more to the kids to have the MK view than to have concierge. Also, our price went from $2218 to $1188 because we were able to apply the Disney Visa Discount!

So, no concierge for us, but we still have the great Contemporary Tower MK View.

Wow, significant savings too!

Please, oh, please - HELP! I have a the visa discount and have to choose between GF RPC and Sugarloaf concierge. This is an upgrade from POR. I've been dying to try POR, but hubby is FINALLY interested in trying GF. I have to hit while the iron is hot. I've stayed in RPC back in 2005 and loved it. I'm sure some things have changed, but I'm not sure what the differences are between the two anymore. Are the offerings the same now? Any other differences I'm missing besides location? I'm tempted to go for SL since I haven't stayed in that building but it's so tempting to book RPC. It's a $400 difference between the two. That's the cost of our dinner at V&A's. *sigh* This trip is our anniversary present to each other. Will I be happy in SL or should I splurge on RPC?

I am five days away from our first official Poly CL stay.

I have to say that the Poly IPO has been amazing. I have mostly delt with Amanda and Meg and they have been wonderful

We did not have alot of advance ADRs, but the few requests we did make were exactly what when wanted. We plan on using the CL CMs for last minute dining plans as we are pretty flexible, but it will be nice to have that personalized service.

They are also picking up a few things for DD for a welcome surprise which I am really greatful for!

All in all, very positive so far :thumbsup2

We are doing split stays before and after our NFFC convention at the Regal Sun.
12/9 to 12/11/09 All Star Sports Passholder Rate $61 including tax
12/11 to 12/13 Regal Sun Tower $101 including resort fee & tax, AARP rate
12/13 to 12/14 40% off Standard Club Room at WL $270 including tax

After the hectic Pop Warner Sports, and 3 days of NFFC convention, we are going to relax and enjoy the Wilderness Lodge Club Level for 1 night.

Just received an email from the WL IPO. It listed our itinerary since we are at around 30 days out. Unfortunately, it only listed the ADRs that the BC IPO had originally made for me, none of the ones that I had made myself and cancelled the unneeded ones. I had called BC on nu,erous occasions and gave them the "Right" ADR #s, I guess they just misplaced them. I called WL IPO and went through all of the numbers I have now so she could make it right in the system, so there is now a YS one floating around out there for someone on Nov. 24.

I just read through a thread where people were planning their approach to calling in for ADRs on October 27. Since we are travelling in March we are one of the many whose window opens on October 27.

I LOVE :lovestruc the fact that the CR CL IPO will be making our ADRs for us. I'm very excited to get our ADRs on October 27, but it is a calm, happy excitement, and not a OMG I have to wake up early excitement.

I love CL!

Well, I had to eat my words and have booked YC CL again lol - all due to a 20% discount ;) I'd swapped from AKL CL to YC waterview (non CL) with dxdp, but am happy with my latest swap.

Spoke to the IPO 2 days ago and it was like being welcomed back by friends, my reservation hadn't been downloaded at that time so they kept checking and then yesterday it had been, spoke to them again and now I realise why I love the Epcot resort area so much, those ladies are fantastic and really care about making holidays complete.:goodvibes

We got back a couple of weeks ago from a fantastic stay at the Boardwalk Inn Club Level. The staff there truly are fantastic, constantly present, chatting to guests and just making people feel welcome.

The lounge itself always seemed really quiet and there was never a huge rush for food offerings. Our room was inside the club level doors, but overlooked the ESPN satellites. Not a great view looking straight down, but we got a fantastic view of illuminations from there, we watched it from the balcony two nights in a row!

I took some pictures of the food offerings as I thought it might help give people an idea of the sort of the stuff they serve.

Breakfast
Selection of cereals

Fruit selection, V8 and yogurts
BWI_B2.jpg

Grapefruit halves, apple and raspberry turnovers (these were gorgeous), chocolate pastries and cinammon rolls in the back.
BWI_B1.jpg

Condiments, croissants, and bagel selection.
BWI_B4.jpg

Evening Offerings.
Bread, hummus and dips selection
bwi_ev3.jpg

Cheese Plate - I loved the soft, white cheese in the middle (there were crackers for the cheese too, I just didn't get them in the picture)
bwi_ev4.jpg

Vegetable plate and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
bwi_ev2.jpg

These selections were there each evening, but the hot offerings changed each night. Tonight it was vegetable spring rolls and pork wontons, with two types of sauce. On the previous night it was a pasta dish and chicken wings.

These photos were taken at 6:30 near the end of the evening offerings, and as you can see there was still plenty of food left.

I only got a picture of the desserts we chose on a couple of nights, rather than when they are actually set out in the lounge. Each night they had around 3-4 different choices of dessert, as well as cookies. As soon as one choice had run out, a member of staff was bringing out more.

Chocolate covered strawberry (delicious), fruit tart and chocolate mousse

Some sort of pineapple parfait and a chocolate covered strawberry.

Hope these pictures are helpful.

Great pictures, iluvpluto27 - thanks so much for sharing! :thumbsup2

I have added them to the BWI information on page 1 of this thread (post #5). :goodvibes

Thanks again!

Hi, VAgal76. I don't have any advice for you but can tell you that the services and lounge offerings are the same. The difference is the building and the lounge. You know what RPC islike. In Sugar Loaf, the concierge desk and lounge are in the lobby of the SL building. The tables are close together rather than spread out like they are in RPC. Happy planning....glad your DH is ready to try the GF and especially for an anniversary trip. :cloud9:

You are going to love it, BreezysMom. Have fun!:cool1:

iluvpluto27--thanks so much for posting the pics of the club food offereings. I've never stayed club level or at BW and I am so looking forward to it!

We just booked AKL CL again for our 1st anniversary trip for 8 nights in May. I couldn't pass up the deal with the 40% pin. We originally booked a regular savanna view room with the pin code and then i realized it was only $189 more to upgrade to CL for the whole trip. :goodvibes

We had a great experience with AKL IPO getting every single one of our ADRs for our trip this past June for our honeymoon. I'm a bit worried about this trip though since they've introduced online ADRs. Oh well, I guess we'll see what happens come Nov 3 (our 180 days!) and how IPO does!

We are booked AKL CL for January, and my 90 day mark was this past Thursday. IPO was able to get all of our dining reservations except the Fantasmic! Dinner Package (which can't be booked online anyway). Having ADRs at 180 days can only improve your chances, but I was very happy with what they got and haven't lost hope that a F! package will become available.

Today is my 90 day mark and I am having IPO handle our ADRs (first time I've given up control so a little :scared1: for me). When I called in my cc info the CM mentioned that it might be a couple of days before I get my itinerary because tomorrow is going to be so busy for them. I'm really anxious to see how they did because if for some reason they couldn't get something, I want to try myself to get an alternative before the rush tomorrow.

Do you think it would be pushy of me to send them an email and say that I understand I'll be getting an itinerary in a couple of days but in the meantime can they let me know if there was anything they weren't able to secure?:confused3 I don't want to be a pest...

I feel your pain!! IPO made my ADR's this trip and it was a BIG DEAL for me to give up control. Their software went down so I wan unable to get the actual itinerary until the next day. But they did respond to my inquiry by assuring me that all my ADR's were made.

I don't think it would be rude at all to ask them to contact you if they have any difficulties.

Good luck!

Brit- IPO stands for Itinerary Planning Office. These are the resort's pre-planners for guests who have booked a club level room.

Just got back from Yacht Club. The IPO folk have all been real stars. Robin on the CL was particularly helpful, I did give her a real test and she handled it extremely well.
