I have booked our concierge room through Expedia and don't have a 12 digit reservation number, if I email concerige at the Yacht Club so you think they will be able to give me the number, and book our reservations etc without it?:)

Gemmybear, which room were you in as it looks the same one as DH and I had last year. The view from the balcony gave it away!!! Ours was a disabled access room too.

We are arriving this weekend at YC CL, should I pre register online? Can I request time guides to each park to be available upon arrival?
TIA:flower3:

I was told that there's no need to do the online registration when you stay CL. That info came from the IPO offices at AKL and BC. When you arrive, they will give you a folder with park maps, resort maps, and the times guide all prepared for you. Also, they have all that stuff available near the concierge desks in the club area of each resort -- so helpful for planning!:thumbsup2

I would either email them or call them. They should be able to figure something out, I would think.;) This must happen to other guests as well. I recommend calling for something like this, since you may have some info that can help them sort out your reservation.:)

Thanks, I will try emailing them - your right this must come up. Once I hear back I will post this on here because it might be useful for someone else:thumbsup2

Great! I think posting the info will be helpful since I'm sure lots of people have the same problem. Hope they can help you! :goodvibes

Will the concierge desk assist with ordering custom cakes? My parents are heading to GF club level on Sunday to celebrate my dad's birthday.

If you get the right CM, then yes. People have experienced mixed results with this lately. If you want to order a custom cake, you need to give them some lead-time. I would call or email them asap and ask!:goodvibes

if you are ordering it for a specific restaurant you can contact them directly as well, they usually ask for 48 hours in advance

I am staying BWI concierge in March with my mom and was wanting to bring a little something for the staff as well. I will probably do it at the beginning or middle of the trip. I am too sad at the end to do it lol!

So excited - finally made the decision for our July trip - BWI CL!! It was a bit tough to walk away from Stormalong Bay, but this trip is as much for me as it is for the girls (11,12,13 &14 this time - yeesh, lol) and the 14yr old very maturely told me when I called her a few nights ago to discuss "it's just a pool". Think I will enjoy the lounge here much more (more space, Boardwalk/Illuminations view/well regarded CL staff).

It's also great to see I'm not the only one with an upcoming trip to BWI. Info on this CL is a bit light compared to the others. I'll be happy to help fix that when I go - hope everyone else can do the same.

I emailed IPO at the Yacht Club and had a response in about an hour with our Disney reservation number - excellent customer service, it has possibly got me more excited about staying concierge at the Yacht Club!:thumbsup2

We were going to skip club level this year but have been talking about upgrading. We are currently at WL but i just can't seem to find too many reviews for their club level. The photo's and reports of AKL however look amazing...is it still that good? or have cut backs affected it?

Here's what we like about club level...

-quick and easy b/f
we do sit down lunches in parks
-we always take an afternoon break for pool/napping and usually hit the lounge for drinks/snacks
-we like a light dinner and usually get by on the appitizers and desserts in the evening before heading back out to the parks.

Would AKL fit our needs?

thanks

Hi! I am planning my first visit staying CL. I read the FAQ but I am still confused! Does the IPO ( I think that is the correct term) email you first or I should email them? I have one reservation for the Poly CL where I received an email and I just upgraded our BWI stay to CL but I didn't get an email. I just don't know what the correct etiquette is here! :confused3 Thanks!

We stayed there 4/09 and again in 8/09. I did not notice any cutbacks those times. CL at AKL is actually my favorite -- it even has a 5th snack serving (only AKL and GF serve high tea in the late afternoon with scones and cookies!).

We spend our days at WDW almost exactly like you do -- and YES, AKL CL would be perfect for that kind of touring. The breakfast and midday snacks there were better, tastier, and more varied than anywhere else we've stayed. The evening apps are fantastic. And AKL has a great espresso machine up in the lounge as well!:thumbsup2 We're planning to go back there soon!

Hope this helps! :goodvibes

Please feel free to just call them or send them an email. Honestly, it seems to be random whether or not you get the "welcome" email from the IPO office. I think it's another one of the Disney computer "features":rotfl:.

Thanks! This is what i was hoping for and honestly outside of Poly cl, AKL and GF are the only other CL that interest me, well maybe CR would be third. This trip our teens are sitting out and we have a 40% off pin, so it's a good opportunity to try AKL since it only sleeps 4. I have to admit the espresso machine alone helps my decision over WL cl.:rotfl2: I am emabarrased to call and switch resorts AGAIN for this trip..i swear in all of our trips i have never switched resorts this many times...but only having 3 of us opens up more opportunities!:dance3:

:goodvibes Glad to be of help. I think you'll like it there. The rooms are significantly smaller than the ones at the Poly, so having only 3 in a room is better! I even preferred the food at AKL over the food at the Poly -- and the Poly food is good as you know. My DH must have used that espresso machine at least 4 times a day when were there. The Nescafe machine at the Poly was a big letdown after that!:rotfl:

Thanks! I didn't want to be rude! :lmao: I will definitely send them an email.

I called and it wasn't available with my pin.:headache:I did check the public code online and it's available except for our last day when the deal ends. I guess i could book with the public code (it is also 40% off) and see what discount i could get for the last day. Oh well, i will have to think about it.

Hey everyone!! My 180 day mark is tomorrow, I did email the IPO about 2 weeks ago my ADR's. I only had 2 of them, anyway do you think I should also try to make them myself or should I just wait to receive my confirmation from the IPO? I am trying for Le Cellier for dinner and LTT for dinner. I just wasn't sure of what to expect being it is a Sunday. This is also our first CL stay. Any info would be great. Thanks!
