I just booked BWI concierge with the bounce back offer. I'm so excited. This will be our first time staying in concierge.

did you do a survey or anything? when were you there? just wondering...we did bwi 4 night 5 day stay in early december and didn't have anything like that come up. just wondering.

So basically the cost difference between SL and RPC is just being able to be in the main building and have your lounge overlook the main lobby, etc.? We booked SL for a couple of weeks from now and when I saw the price difference I figured that RPC had much better food choices or other amenities that SL didn't include. It's our first time staying CL and we didn't know if the extra for RPC was worth it.

You are correct. The lounge is larger in RPC and you have the convenience of staying in the main building. The food and drinks and amenities (and really, even the rooms) are the same.:)

I'm currently booked at SL at the GF, but am considering upgrading to RPC. Have the rooms been updated in the Main Building? The only photos I'm finding are of the old rooms.

Also, is the RPC kid-friendly? I'm bringing my nephews, who will be 6 and 2 at in August.

Is the lounge in RPC larger than SL? What are the real differences?

Yes, the lounge up in RPC is kid-friendly. There's even some little tables and chairs by a TV for kids to sit at if they want their own space. There were a small number of kid-friendly food offerings as well.

Thanks for the info! I think my 6 and 2 yr old nephews won't be out of place then if I upgrade.

Should be fine. We've been staying CL since our DD was 2 years old and never had any problems. We just made sure she behaved nicely so she didn't disturb anyone, but we did that everywhere we went, not just at the GF.;) I forgot to mention that the GF has these amazing cookies out for afternoon snacks! They were a big hit with all the kids we saw when we were there -- yummy!:goodvibes

Yeah, I mean, Disney is THE family friendly place. I think your kids'll be fine. We don't have kids, but I'm looking forward to being somewhere with lots of kid energy.

Just booked two nights concierge at the Yacht Club in December, were getting married at the Yacht Club, and this forms the first two nights of our honeymoon!:goodvibes

Here are some photos from our stay at Wilderness Lodge concierge - hope these are useful :thumbsup2

The room - we had a king room, it was a disabled room without a bath, but had a huge shower!

We saw a flier for the bounce back offer in our room at Coronado Springs this past December. At first we booked AKL CL but the more we thought about it we decided that the BWI CL would be more our style.

We just got back from OKW on marathon weekend and the same bounce back offer was in that room. We also were asked to do a survey about our spending habits during our stay. They're supposed to send us a $25 gift card once they receive the survey in the mail.

My nephews are used to traveling and eating out, so I think they'll be well behaved. I just was curious if the RPC would be filled with honeymooners wanting to be away from kids. I think the boys will LOVE the music and being in the midsts of everything in the main building. I think I'm going to call and change my reservation this weekend...

I think the boys will LOVE the Grand Floridian. The older one loved the Poly, CR not so much. I'm sure the GF will be just as magical for them.

I have a couple of questions. We're staying BWI CL in May.

1) I'm going to bring a gift down for the CL staff of some sort of food/candy that's made locally. (We live in Amish Country.) I know they share gifts like this. Would it be more appropriate to give it to them at the beginning of the trip as a hello, or at the end as a thank you?

2) This will probably sound silly, but it's important to us. ;) When we've stayed at POR, the conceirge desk in the lobby could call and ask about where certain characters would be that day. Will the CL conceirge staff do this for us in the mornings, or will I have to check with the staff in the lobby?

TIA! I can't wait for the next few months to pass!!!

I'm also staying at the bwi cl in may :). I tend to give my gifts at the beginning, but anytime is good and will be welcomed. The bwi cl cm's are wonderful very accomodating people and I'm sure will help you re characters (if they are able).

Awesome! Thanks!

This is my first time at BWI and CL so I'm stoked.:goodvibes

What kind of gifts do you guys bring? I was thinking of bringing cupcakes from the world famous Magnolia Bakery, but unsure of how well those would travel.

We are arriving this weekend at YC CL, should I pre register online? Can I request time guides to each park to be available upon arrival?
TIA:flower3:
