Does the lounge in the Sugar Loaf bldg have a sitting area with TV or is it set up with just table and chairs? Pic of this area would be great if anyone wants to share.

Thank you for answering my previous question! :thumbsup2

My next question is:

How does the check in process for concierge work? I know that at the Grand Floridian the self-parking is a little bit of a walk so i'm not sure what we do. Do we pull up to the main lobby unload our luggage than go park our car in the self-parking? I'm not sure if this question makes sense - thank you!!!

Just tell the bell stand you are CL, and they will walk you up to the CL for check in. In the case of Poly they will drive you back to the Hawaii building and check you in there.

Hi all,

Can someone please tell me where the CL rooms are located at BC? So if I'm looking at the map of the resort, are they close to YC? Or are they on the other side of the resort?

TIA!

Karen :flower3:

PS, yes, pretty soon I can add yet another ticker to my siggy!

Hi y'all - I'm wondering if y'all can help me/give some advice on our check-into the AKV-CL for our December trip.

We are booked in a 1BR club level on Sat 12/18 and Sunday 12/19 nights at AKV. But, we're coming into WDW the night before via car/driving. We decided to book a cheap points value studio at AKV for Friday 12/17 because I suspect that we will be getting to WDW late on Friday, like 6-7pm or later. I didn't want to use a bunch of points for just 16 hours in a room, so I snagged the value studio for one night.

That means we'll be on the 5th floor of AKL the night b4 we check into our club room on the 6th floor the next morning. Would you just go down to the valet/entrance the next morning to let them know you're ready to check into club level, or would you let the IPO people (is it Don?) in advance that you'll just be downstairs one floor and see how they want to handle it?

thanks!!

I've actually done that before! What I'd suggest is let the IPO know that you'll already be there and will check-in early (even though your AKV-CL room won't be ready). Give IPO an approximate time (such as 8:00am). This way, they can have your packet ready at the Valet. You can still be in your non-CL room (check-out is 11:00), go downstairs and have someone at Valet/Bell Services escort you up to the lounge. Then you'll have your "gold" key cards and can get breakfast and start enjoying the CL portion of your trip! :thumbsup2

I am pretty sure the answer to this is yes but I just want to make sure that the Club Level check-in for the Boadwalk is the same like all the other Deluxe Resorts, where a Cast Member will take us up to the lounge so we can check-in up there and etc.

Yep, it's just the same. :goodvibes

Just a little word of caution, it does depend on the valet you speak too - some are great and will ask you to wait to the side whilst they call up to the club level, they'll most likely either then take you up to the club floor to check in, or sometimes a CM will come downstairs and take you up themselves, unfortunately some of the valet team haven't a clue and will either tell you to go to the main check-in desk or escort you to the desk themselves.

Well since we have experience with checking in for Club Level reservations at the Contemporary and Polynesian, so on the off chance we get a valet who doesn't know what were talking about we can tell them how it's been done at the other Deluxe Resorts and etc.

LOL, I think a few of them could do with that advice ;)

I hope it goes smoothly for you, but even if perhaps there's a little wrinkle, I'm sure you'll love the deluxe rooms at the BWI, and the InnKeepers Club :goodvibes

Thank you because we are looking forward to staying there.

Oh thank you soooo much!!! LOL - it looks like you were, and I am on the same page...I'm hoping we can check in first thing the next morning, grab a small, quick breakfast, and go off to the parks for 1/2 the day... I would do AKV-CL for a day or two more, but I was shocked when I got the room for 2 nights pre-Christmas as it was (since I book at 7 months out) since there are so few rooms!!!

Did you add any dining plan when there? I know most people think it is too much, but we are only "there" for 2 nights but have access to the IPO over those days, and it is right b4 Christmas...high time ADR. And we are moving to BCV on the 20th, so we could do Le Cellier candlelight processional that night...if we could snag it that close to Christmas, lol...

Looks like you're SSR like us :goodvibes It's funny - my hubby was asking if we could do club level everywhere and avoid ADRs, lol, lol...

Our upcoming WDW stay is SSR for several nights, then AKL-CL for several nights, then AKV-CL for several nights!!! I was very surprised when I called at about 4 months out and asked for AKV Studio availability and the CM said "We have Club Level available and Sa" -- I interrupted and screamed "I'LL TAKE IT!!!" (then held my breath until I heard "you've got it!") :rotfl:

We have done the DDP when staying CL and I think we ate WAY too much; but we definitely went home happy!!! We don't have it booked for this upcoming trip, but then we take it on a trip-by-trip basis. When we plan a lot of TS restaurants, we usually add the DDP! ;)

LeCellier CP will be hard to get, but if you call the first morning your date is available and you're willing to do any of the 3 shows, you've got a chance of getting it. :thumbsup2

And I hope we can count on you to post here and give us your impressions of BWI! ;) I've only stayed non-CL at BWI and have loved it. :cloud9: BWI-CL is on my short list! :thumbsup2
Yes I will be posting my review of it, although that's something I don't want to think of right now because it will mean having to come home from Walt Disney World.

Just for fun I was looking at the WDW website on the special offers page because I just wanted to see how much it was in both Royal Palm and Sugar Loaf at the Grand Floridian with the 40% room only discount, because that was the other resort we were considering after our stay at the Contemporary and I forget the exact cost after the discount. Well it turns out with the 40% room only deal there are no Club Level rooms available for it and they had availaility in both buildings this past Sunday. Then I looked to see if there were any Club Level rooms left at the Boardwalk and the only thing which came up was their Garden Suite. However when I look for room only reservations at both resorts all their Club Level rooms are available. So either we got very lucky and made our Deluxe Club Level room reservation at the Boardwalk on the right day or would say there is a problem with the WDW website, because of how fast those rooms sold out and yes I know only a specific amount of them are available on each promotion.

At Poly it was always bell service staff that brought me over to the Hawaii building and to the room if ready-then check in at the CL desk on the 1st floor.

At CR the first bell service guy was clueless but then I found someone else and I'm pretty sure it was a CL CM who brought me up to the CL floor.

Both trips to AKL there has been a CL CM at a stand at valet who brought me up. In 2009 I signed papers right there at that stand. In 2010 I signed papers in my room-both trips they already had my packet and keys.

At BWI when I got out of the town car I told the valet we were staying CL and he had a bell service CM there with a luggage cart VERY quickly and we were soon being brought up to the room. I had to check in at the CL desk down the hall to get my packet.
