Does the lounge in the Sugar Loaf bldg have a sitting area with TV or is it set up with just table and chairs? Pic of this area would be great if anyone wants to share.
Thank you for answering my previous question!
My next question is:
How does the check in process for concierge work? I know that at the Grand Floridian the self-parking is a little bit of a walk so i'm not sure what we do. Do we pull up to the main lobby unload our luggage than go park our car in the self-parking? I'm not sure if this question makes sense - thank you!!!
Just tell the bell stand you are CL, and they will walk you up to the CL for check in. In the case of Poly they will drive you back to the Hawaii building and check you in there.
Hi y'all - I'm wondering if y'all can help me/give some advice on our check-into the AKV-CL for our December trip.
We are booked in a 1BR club level on Sat 12/18 and Sunday 12/19 nights at AKV. But, we're coming into WDW the night before via car/driving. We decided to book a cheap points value studio at AKV for Friday 12/17 because I suspect that we will be getting to WDW late on Friday, like 6-7pm or later. I didn't want to use a bunch of points for just 16 hours in a room, so I snagged the value studio for one night.
That means we'll be on the 5th floor of AKL the night b4 we check into our club room on the 6th floor the next morning. Would you just go down to the valet/entrance the next morning to let them know you're ready to check into club level, or would you let the IPO people (is it Don?) in advance that you'll just be downstairs one floor and see how they want to handle it?
thanks!!
I am pretty sure the answer to this is yes but I just want to make sure that the Club Level check-in for the Boadwalk is the same like all the other Deluxe Resorts, where a Cast Member will take us up to the lounge so we can check-in up there and etc.
Thank you.Yep, it's just the same.![]()
Well since we have experience with checking in for Club Level reservations at the Contemporary and Polynesian, so on the off chance we get a valet who doesn't know what were talking about we can tell them how it's been done at the other Deluxe Resorts and etc.Just a little word of caution, it does depend on the valet you speak too - some are great and will ask you to wait to the side whilst they call up to the club level, they'll most likely either then take you up to the club floor to check in, or sometimes a CM will come downstairs and take you up themselves, unfortunately some of the valet team haven't a clue and will either tell you to go to the main check-in desk or escort you to the desk themselves.

Thank you because we are looking forward to staying there.LOL, I think a few of them could do with that advice
I hope it goes smoothly for you, but even if perhaps there's a little wrinkle, I'm sure you'll love the deluxe rooms at the BWI, and the InnKeepers Club![]()

I've actually done that before! What I'd suggest is let the IPO know that you'll already be there and will check-in early (even though your AKV-CL room won't be ready). Give IPO an approximate time (such as 8:00am). This way, they can have your packet ready at the Valet. You can still be in your non-CL room (check-out is 11:00), go downstairs and have someone at Valet/Bell Services escort you up to the lounge. Then you'll have your "gold" key cards and can get breakfast and start enjoying the CL portion of your trip!![]()
Our upcoming WDW stay is SSR for several nights, then AKL-CL for several nights, then AKV-CL for several nights!!! I was very surprised when I called at about 4 months out and asked for AKV Studio availability and the CM said "We have Club Level available and Sa" -- I interrupted and screamed "I'LL TAKE IT!!!" (then held my breath until I heard "you've got it!")Oh thank you soooo much!!! LOL - it looks like you were, and I am on the same page...I'm hoping we can check in first thing the next morning, grab a small, quick breakfast, and go off to the parks for 1/2 the day... I would do AKV-CL for a day or two more, but I was shocked when I got the room for 2 nights pre-Christmas as it was (since I book at 7 months out) since there are so few rooms!!!
Did you add any dining plan when there? I know most people think it is too much, but we are only "there" for 2 nights but have access to the IPO over those days, and it is right b4 Christmas...high time ADR. And we are moving to BCV on the 20th, so we could do Le Cellier candlelight processional that night...if we could snag it that close to Christmas, lol...
Looks like you're SSR like usIt's funny - my hubby was asking if we could do club level everywhere and avoid ADRs, lol, lol...
Yes I will be posting my review of it, although that's something I don't want to think of right now because it will mean having to come home from Walt Disney World. And I hope we can count on you to post here and give us your impressions of BWI!I've only stayed non-CL at BWI and have loved it.
BWI-CL is on my short list!
