There was always something out at AKL concierge. Drinks of some sort were always available. Breakfast was out early, I don't know, probably 7 or so and stayed late. Lunch was out for more than two hours and dinner was out longer than lunch. Late night snacks were available till near 11, but there was always a fridge and juice and something to stuff in your mouth.
I had read that AKL concierge was the best.
We stayed at the Poly concierge two months after the AKL, AKL definitely won in our opinion.
They had four different hot selections, several cold selections, and four big joice/drink dispensers, while the Poly only had three drink thingys and the selection of food wasn't as good or were there as many selections.
Food aint all concierge is about. We found the staff at both the Poly and AKL to be superb. They joyfully got you anything or any PS or any other thing that you possibly desired. I liked the AKL lounge much better. Overlooking the AKL lobby from six flights up was pretty cool. The lounge itself was much more comfortable, larger and less whiney kids. It was just a classier and more upscale experience.
We got real locky, some AKL concierge rooms are far from the lounge, some are on the fifth floor, ours was right on the balcony overlooking the lobby, thirty or so steps from the lounge.
