Concerned About My Reservation

A few days ago I saw the thread regarding the webcast, so I went ahead and registered for it. I then called my Guide today and asked him if I should wait until the webcast to submit my contract, he said I might as well. He also said that what they are planning to offer might be a few dollars per point lower than my current offer. Since I am buying 250 points, that could be $500 - $1000 less.

My concern with doing this however is that I currently have a reservation for an MK view at BLT for the end of January. If I take the new offer, what is the likelihood that MS will drop my reservation if a new contract has to be written? I've heard of this happening to others, even though I assumed your reservation would be tied to your member id. Any thoughts?

No worries! Your reservation will not be dropped. I did an add on at BLT the day before they started taking reservations. I got a BLT studio for December and was really excited!

I ended up changing my contract 3 times and there was no issue with the reservation. MS got it transferred over with no problems.

I will tell you that it did disappear for a few days from the member website when they switched the contract (which freaked me out) but when I called, they said it just takes a few days to catch up.

And that is exactly what would happen! That would be great if you ended up saving some money--anything is a good thing!

I am hopoing that something will be offered for add ons, but I am hearing that it is targeting new members!

I'm planning on buying points at BLT later this week and asked my guide the liklihood of me being able to book a trip for the end of Feb and I was told not to worry because they haven't released all of the units yet into the booking system and that he could help me with the reservation. I don't know how accurate that is, it is just what I was told. I would suggest run it by your guide. I am sure you should be able to work it out.

stefanospops, very good point! I totally forgot about the inventory that will be released. This also helps as we are currently waitlisted for the day we arrive.

Your welcome!!:) If you do decide to change, be sure to mention the reservations to your guide. Just one more thing to ensure things go smoothly!
