I have a 2br at BCV for a January week stay with friends who have not been to WDW in years. We always rave about DVC and want to impress. It seems I have read a lot of issues lately regarding cleanliness and such at BCV. We are all adults, so we will not be SAB at all. Cheer me up here if you like BCV.

Also, my confirmation lists 2br/ 2 queenbeds in 2nd br. Is that my request that i made to be in a dedicated 2br with the 2 queen beds, or is that a guarantee that i get that. I has been a while and I just don't recall requests being printed on the confirmation. Anyone know what percentage of dedicated 2 bedrooms of all 2brs there are?

Any good room view requests I can make? I think I would like to be non-first floor.

you are lucky!!! only 25 of the dedicated 2-bedroom with the 2 queens.

if your reservations says that - you can see what the front desk gives you.

I would ask for the fifth floor - I like to see Epcot - even with the service roads and main road going pass....

if you are traveling with elderly - I would also ask to near an elevator.

I've never stayed at BCV, but I'd caution anyone who forms opinions based on comments on this or any other internet board.

Keep in mind, negative comments will draw post after post to either "defend" a resort or "pile on".

Positive comments will quickly fall off the board as all anyone can really say is "glad you had a good trip!". And many people only bother to post if they had a problem they wanted to share.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. If staying in a 2BR villa a few steps from EPCOT doesn't impress your friends, not much will! :)

Touche ;)

The 2 Queens in the second bedroom is not a request, but a guaranteed room type. So, if you booked that, that is what you will get.

Hi we stayed at the BCV this past Jan and it was perfect. I just booked our next vacation in January 07 at the BCV and I can't wait. I booked a 2bd with 2 double beds and a studio. I think there are always going to be people who have something negative to say about everything. It is a beautiful resort and I am sure you will have a great vaca. Our "home" resort is the VWL and there are a lot of people who don't care for that resort but we love it and honestly could care less what others think. Just enjoy! :cheer2: :cheer2:

I never would have guesses that. Thanks for the tidbit.

This is a great post and should be inserted in everyone of "those" threads that take on a life of their own. :thumbsup2

We've stayed in quite a few BCV rooms now and each one has been clean. We love it! Have fun! :cool1:

I agree with Granny. I have never stayed there myself but I have visited as I have friends who own there and it is nice.

There is good and bad about every resort and some peoples perceptions of things are more sensitive than others.

Go and have a good time!

We own at BCV's and although we some times try other resorts (this year it will be VWL) our favorite has always been the Beach club. We have had no problems what so ever with mouse keeping or cleanliness. Generally we have a 2 bedroom for 10 days/9 nights. I have called house keeping for extra towel sets or when I wanted to schedule an additional day of full service cleaning (very rare, but we have done it). Service was always provided quickly and efficiently. Nothing but rave reviews for my home away from home.

Just back from a BCV studio stay. Everything was great. Unit was clean and well-maintained - furniture in good shape, etc. Sofa is getting a little old, but I undertand that they will be replaced in the near future. Staff was wonderful, everybody in the hallways said hello if we didn't do so first. This is our fourth stay at BCV, and we have never had even a small problem with anything or anyone.

We stayed at the BC in 03, it was our first time back at a Deluxe in many years. Well, DH, DS(then 10), and myself fell in love with it. We joined DVC that year. Then, in 05, we stayed at BCV because DH would not have it any other way. We were in a studio. Everything in the room was clean and in good condition. The only problem was that we did have a HA room and no counter space in the bathroom for toilettries. BUT, that can happen at any of the DVC resorts, I assume.

When planning our trip this year, I tried to convince DS and DH to try a different resort just so we could experience a different resort. I love BCV too but just wanted to try something new. Again, I could not convince them. They love SAB, the overall look and beauty of the resort, the closeness to Epcot and MGM. In 8 days we will try a 1 bedroom for the first time and I will def. report back when we return.

I think everyone will truly enjoy BCV, so do not worry. Have a super trip!!

We just returned from BCV. The place was immaculate and everything was in good working order. It was definitely a deluxe hotel in my book. Just don't let them put you in Villa 178...I'm not usually too picky, but this first floor villa is all the way at the very end of the hallway and abutts the parking lot. Nothing nice to look at, but boy, everyone walking in from the parking lot sure likes to look at you!

Enjoy your stay!

We've been back a week since our first trip to BCV. It was wonderful! We loved that we could just walk over to EPCOT. We walked from Disney Studios (in the rain - Husband's idea....with 3 kids) to BCV, and it would have been a leisurely stroll back to BCV if not for the rain.

The 2 BR was great. With Tropical Storm Alberto, we spent a little more time in the room than we expected and having the space to spread out was really wonderful.

If Beaches & Cream does not fit into your schedule for lunch or dinner, please try the take out chocolate milkshake or root beer float. Very high marks from all in our party!!!!! I had 3 chocolate shakes from Beaches & Cream on our trip .....but we did walk a lot also haha.

Only negative at BCV I could see was stains on the couch cushions but everything else was beautiful!

Have a great trip!

We also just returned from BCV. We stayed 9 nights in a 2 BR with 2 Queens. We were on the 4th floor overlooking Epcot. We could see the higher fireworks from the balcony. We just loved it.
Our villa was clean and the hallways were too, they were actually painting the hallway walls and steaming the carpets as well during our stay.
Relax, you will love it! :sunny:

I am feeling a whole lot of love here. C'mon let's hug it out :grouphug: I do believe this is the most positive thread I have ever read here. Thanks for lifting my spirits all.

We love BCV's! We just stayed there in March and are going back in August! We were also there last August and it was perfect! If I had to find one negative it would be the sofa sleepers in the studios. They are not the most comfy and I believe it's time to replace them.

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Have a great vacation with your friends, dizfanz. :sunny:
