at least i got a new tag out of that one!

great job tag fairy!:)

I have really enjoyed reading this thread. The very first thing I noticed when I started reading was that the OP had only 9 posts and already had earned three tags!

It was fun to read this thread to the end and then get the punchline. <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/10/10_1_129.gif' border=0></a>

Kteacher sorry about your sister. Really too bad she doesn't have enough problems of her own. How about we all chip in to get her a dictionary or maybe a nose job? (I'm just guessing since she's had her nose in your business so much....)

Kteacher first of all . You've handled this alot better than I would have. Sounds like your sis should take a lesson or two from you. ::yes::

I'm still trying to figure out why she would post what she did:( . My kids are great kids ( and I'm not just saying that because I'm their mom:D ) . As for sending a child to a " state school"- I went to UMASS-a great state university, took out student loans, and I turned out okay ( BTW, my sister also went to a state university:rolleyes: ) Maybe she didn't realize that it was my trip planning that saved her from waiting in lines when we were in WDW, and allowed her to eat dinner at the CG at a window table during Wishes, Rose and Crown for dinner on the patio during Illuminations, a MK view in the CR-we watched the castle change colors, great flight times down and back I just don't get it. I would hate to think that my own sister could be that jealous of me:(

You know, I don't have any sisters and always wanted one. Next time you get an urge to take a "sister" along to WDW, I'm all yours! :hyper:

I read all this unfold this weekend and really couldn't believe it. What a dirty trick. Your sister should have confronted you directly if she has a problem with your spending habits. :(

Add me to those who think you are handling this pretty admirably, kteacher! :)

Wow! I can't believe the audacity here on your sister's part! I hope she is truly sorry for bringing her feelings so out in the open, when she easily could have confronted you privately!

Btw, I went to an expensive private college, got great grades, double majored, did some awesome internships and guess what, I'm a happy, happy, happy stay-at-home mom! lol!!! (Ok, well that's as of recently, but still. . . life is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration... great pedigree doesn't make up for a hard worker in most cases).

People make what they want out of their own lives -- even they aren't realizing it at the time! Whether or not your kids go to state college -- whether or not they have to pay for it on their own -- will not make or break them. Whether or not they have a goal or dream to focus on will be a bigger factor. IMHO.

KTeacher, all this being said, I hope you two can mend any damage this has done. Maybe it will open a line of communication for you... realizing that she has issues of jealousy and resentment toward you -- and who knows what else.... may you two be able to work it out -- privately and tactfully and have a better relationship for it.

:D Wow...Just read this whole thing..I miss alot when DH is home hogging computer line with work all weekend!

You seem like an awesome, forgiving sister to me! I hope the two of you can work issues out (I'm sorry the issues are so one-sided ). Good luck and have fun planning another GREAT WDW trip with YOUR kiddos!

I was wondering about those tags myself when I started - what fun, Tag Fairy!!!!

Could this possibly been meant to be 'tongue in cheek' type humor?? I would hate to think that a sister of mine would have such jealous feelings and attack me on these boards. Hopefully she was just 'pulling your leg'. Otherwise, she has some kind of issues going on here. I was away for a few days so have missed a lot. Wow...KTeacher, you are a better woman than I!!! Oh, btw....UMass is a terrific school!!!!!

This is truly amazing. Kteacher, I'm glad that you found out what was going on at least. Good luck with that sister.

The Tag Fairy did really well though. :hyper:

This is a very interesting thread. I do feel the need to defend UMass. My DS goes there and it is an excellent university. He is taking challenging courses, doing lots of work, and will be involved in research next semester. He is doing an internship at a biotech company this summer and guess where at least half of the researchers went to school? Yes, UMass! We are lucky in Massachusetts to have an excellent public university system.
