computers likely down until tomorrow

I had tried to call and change my reservation but the CM I talked to told me the computers were down but she would call me back when they came up.
Well she just called me back and said it looks like they will be down until tomorrow. She said all the reservation systems are down including ones in Houston and Tampa. If I understood her right she said that MK is without power.
She is going to work on my possible changes first thing tomorrow morning.
She said she has worked there since 1995 and never seen anything like it.

What?? MK without power?? That doesn't sound possible to me. I know they have backups and everything so if Florida power goes down, they don't completely lose everything. So I guess all the call centers must be tied into one computer server somewhere then. Hmm.

Just got off the phone again. Dining reservations are up now. Still no room reservations.
Heck I don't know about MK. I'm sure there is reserve type power, has to be. But when I repeated MK without power? She said yes.

Central Reservations are not in the MK. Depending on what number you call you are not even calling Orlando.
I spoke to a nice CM this evening who told me that there had been a power outage. Oh well these things happen, hopefully they will be up and running tomorrow.

It does sound though as if the power outage at the very least has to be somewhere on Disney Orlando property . . . else 2/3 of the phone calls would be going right through and reservations would still be able to be made (I doubt Houston and Tampa lost power too. It could easily just be the area of the property where the reservations computer happens to be stationed though. If the parks were down . . . oy vey.
